Our new “go to” sushi restaurant in Bellingham, WA. Very fresh, lots of choices. Ordering is by menu or pulling from the food train which is always being up-dated and stocked. Pricing is pretty reasonable reflected by your personal choices. Quick sitting in restaurant or bars. This is directly next to the big cinema theater. Staff has always been courteous and helpful.

The restaurant was beautiful and the service very attentive. She refilled drinks quickly and asked often if we’d like anything from the kitchen. We should have taken her up on it as the “hot” things on the belt weren’t hot anymore. The rest of the sushi was ok but rather room temperature and fishy. I know it is sushi but usually it tastes a bit fresher. This used to be our favorite place to go when going to the movies and they’ve slipped. Just not as much on the belt anymore.

I went by myself and sat by the track. The waitress was so sweet and checked on me often. The variety of plates on the track didn’t change much while I was there so I ordered a few plates. The quality felt significantly better in the plates that I ordered versus what was in the track. Would definitely go back

Our server (long, curley sandy colored hair) was awesome, very kind and attentive. I’ve actually never had a bad server here.
The food however was pretty disappointing. The salmon nigiri and one of the off menu rolls that had lemon were really good…but my maguro was bad. It was slightly sour and super chewy. I had to spit it out. I also tried one of the desserts and it was very stale.
I also ordered hot tea and noticed there was scum build up in the spout and inside of the pot. I was able to scratch it off easily with my finger so I know it was scum and bacteria and not staining. They replaced it quickly with a fresh clean pot, but being served a filthy tea pot gave me the ick so bad.
This place is too hit or miss and they take way too many shortcuts on cleanliness and how long they will let stuff sit before ever taking it off of the belt. Literally save your money, the local grocery store sushi is better.

Pretty standard sushi train place but what makes it so special is the atmosphere. Theres a good variety of sushi to choose from and a really good drink menu. The staff checked on us frequently and was able to answer all the questions we had. If youre looking for high end cuisine then this probably isnt the place for you but if youre looking for somewhere to have an experience then its definitely worth it to stop in.

We enjoy grabbing sushi here because of the great experience it is for whole family. Zen supplies such a wonderful variety of rolls, apps and desserts on there belt that everyone in my family finds what they need. Stay is always very personable.

I had my order delivered by Postmates which is Uber. The food and the delivery were excellent. However… they didn’t include napkins. Seems miniscule, but I was eating in my car and had to improvise…. not cool after spending $40 for lunch. I shouldn’t have to ask to include napkins!!!!

Just sayin, watching the Seahawks game at Zen in Bellingham. Cozy bar, 85″ tv, two smaller tv’s ar the bar. Committed Seahawks fans!!! Contagious vibe! Bartender Eric is simply amazing. Keep it in mind, go!

I have personally never had any issues in the multiple times I’ve been here and taken my items from the belt (which is a fun and unique experience). I will say the more expensive rolls are the only ones I’d come here for. The less expensive rolls are just okay. I liked the crab roll (one with pile of crab on top) and the pepper salmon roll best! The selection will be limited for the last part of their open hours, so I suggest coming earlier. It feels a bit silly to have a waiter when you’re serving yourself, but it’s nice to be checked on. Overall, I have been here several times and will be back.
