Open since March 2006, the shop is in a neighborhood immediately northwest of downtown Columbus populated by families, couples, children, and teenagers walking and biking to do errands, shopping in independently-owned-and-operated shops, and hanging out in lively spots like Stauf’s Coffee Roasters and Spagio. Home of the annual summer Tour de Grandview Cycling Classic, the renovated, single-screen Grandview Theatre, and the sidewalk Art Hop (last Saturday of every month), Grandview and its main artery, Grandview Avenue, is full of people just taking it all in.

Jeni’s is a type of ice cream that you either like or you don’t, so my only comparison here is with other Jeni’s locations. This is now one of the older ones, and like most, it is not designed to encourage lingering. That works fine most of the time, but in inclement weather you may want to get your order to go since indoor seating is minimal. But the staff are friendly, the flavors are well stocked, and you know what you’re getting!

A Grandview favorite of mine with a huge assortment of unique ice cream flavors and flavors that accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions including gluten-free, nut free, and dairy free. The space is rather cozy which may make it difficult for wheelchair users to completely navigate. The line to order itself is rather narrow when chairs are pushed away from the wall and though the bathroom is completely accessible once inside the space provided to reach the bathroom is too slim for any wheelchair. This may pose an issue for those with mobility disabilities. There is also a lack of handicap buttons entering and exiting the establishment. Other than that, there is plenty of accessible seating including a rounded nook with a table low enough for a wheel chair user to pull right up with tons of outdoor seating with lower set tables. Though decorated with color and lights, I found that it was very clean, quiet and far from overwhelming for individuals with sensory disabilities. The staff was friendly and attentive at all moments as well! Hope this helps anyone who needs it! Enjoy!

A local favorite now mainstream. Tons of flavors to choose from but I can never resist the salty Carmel, brown butter almond brittle or the cake batter. Nice patio with limited indoor seating. Pricing is reasonable all things considered.

Super nice staff, they let you try as many flavors as you want…which is a LOT because they have so many yummy and unique flavors. Delicious taste, and great texture. Good fat content that makes every flavor so creamy. It’s a little pricey for what you get (you get half scoops, not big ones), which is why I give it 4 stars, but it’s a fun experience and worth the try since it’s native to Columbus!!

Absolutely splendid!!!!! All the flavors were very original, but very tasty. Great atmosphere. Great service. Personable employees. And they let you try as many flavors as you want. Even when it seems like it’s a ridiculous amount of samples that you’re trying I’ll just let you go and go and go and go and go and go and go and go.

The fact that I can go to Giant Eagle and get a pint for $6.99 is crazy but go to Jenis and they will charge you $12.99. Save your self some money and go to the grocery store to buy.
