An absolutely fabulous restaurant in downtown Black Mountain. It just recently opened in November, intimate and nice without being too stuffy. The prices were reasonable and the food and service were both excellent. We had the Grilled Grape Salad, Meatballs, Fig and Olive Bruschetta, Lamb Ragu Pasta and Chocolate Torte. One of my two favorite restaurants in the East Coast aslongside Snallygasters in Harper’s Ferry.

We came to Black Mountain for an event with friends and stayed here for dinner. Randomly found Tuscan Table and so glad we did. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, great experience, best atmosphere. I got the Pesto Cremosa, and WOW. SO good. We got the Fig & Olive Bruschetta as an appetizer and the Crème Brûlée for dessert. Everything was spectacular. Can’t wait to come back!!

Update: We did return and the service was unfortunately abysmal.
We waited an hour for our food. No explanation, no reassurance, and the only acknowledgement of the awkward wait was when we were served the food. It’s understandable if something happened, mistakes happen, but at least inform us so we aren’t wondering if we were forgotten about.
During this time we got water late, made requests that were not addressed, and did not receive food that we ordered. We chose not to bring it up because we did not want to wait another hour… The food is great but this experience really put us off.
Original review:
We happened to stroll by and try Tuscan Table during their soft open, and we will be back! We are happy to have another restaurant in town. The food was good and the attentive service was nice.
The menu has some decent range to it. The interior probably needs some work to make it more cozy, and they do have outside seating on the street side as well. That part would definitely be nice if it weren’t for all the loud trucks zooming down the road rolling coal…

Just had dinner here, and judging by the number of reviews, it looks like this place is pretty new. We really liked it. I ordered a salad… honestly, the food was excellent, I enjoyed everything. They even deboned the chicken for us, which is the first time we’ve ever seen that.
Service was also top-notch — super polite, attentive, and detail-oriented staff. The place itself is really nice too. We’ll definitely be back and totally recommend checking it out.

We stumbled upon Tuscan Table while exploring Black Mountain. The service was wonderful, kudos to Alan! We really enjoyed the arancini, ramp pasta, and mushroom ragu. Our daughter got the chicken tenders and fries and it was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

We loved our meal here, such a pleasant surprise for small town NC! The staff are so attentive, kind, and overall create such an inviting environment. We were only stopping in for a quick meal after a hike, so we just split a pasta (full portion is huge) and the arancini. So so good and flavorful. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.
Thanks so much to the owners and staff!

We went with friends and were very disappointed. They only serve wine and beer? So no espresso martinis!! Very odd for an upscale Italian restaurant.
I had the lamb shank which tasted ok but was obviously reheated and had hardly any gravy. My husband got a pasta dish which was very salty. They asked if he wanted protein to go with the pasta.. and bring out a burnt breaded chicken cutlet. Ugh. The atmosphere was ok except for the open doorway to the kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. Giving us a view of a soda machine and storage.. really out of place for an upscale restaurant. On a good note , the garlic knots were delicious. Wish we stopped at the appetizers.

We recently ate at Tuscan Table. We were lucky to get a table on a Sunday evening. We had Garlic bombs, polenta fries, butternut ravioli, arrabiatta with shrimp, lamb ragu, and osso buco. Everything was spectacular. So delicious. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Lights were dimmed and candles lit.

My fiancé and I decided to try out one of Black Mountain’s newest restaurants Tuscan Table Saturday night 12/20 for dinner and are happy that we did! The service was exceptional from all of the staff including our excellent waiter Landy.
We had a bottle of wine, the garlic ball appetizer, and each tried our own pasta dish. For desert we tried the Crème Brûlée . All of the food was delicious, well presented, and came out in timely manner. We would highly recommend checking out Tuscan Table for your next Black Mountain dinner!
