Glad to have a place to eat in Candor again! Had the mushroom burger and shared some egg rolls along with their fall drink special of caramel apple martini. Good food and good drink. Place is now under new management and they have renovated, including the restrooms. Would come back and also try their other food options.

Food was so good. I ordered the Alfredo with chicken and mushrooms. My husband ordered the rodeo burger and fries. That’s a regular for him. The only reason for the atmosphere is there was no background music but the kitchen music and I couldn’t get the jukebox working. So, we were listening to everyone’s conversations. If they fix that it would have been 5 stars all around.

1-24-2025 Three of us had the fish fry dinner, which was fabulous. They could do with more heat, and they may have some growing pains, but the staff were very attentive and workedcwithvtheir customers to ensure a pleasant experience. We will definitely be returning to try other epicurean delights on their menu 🙂
6-21-2025 and 10-9-2025: enjoyed a delicious Black & Blue Salad, perfectly made! When I had the Black and Blue Salad again on 2-25-2026, the steak was quite grizzly. But pretty good. The ceiling fans don’t need to be on, very annoying.

The supreme pizza and sliced smoked brisket sandwich are to die for. I highly recommend visiting this place is you are in the area. They also have special nights like Biker Night, bands and much more. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Services quick as well. 10/10 restaurant for sure!

We plan on going back to dine in. We got take out and it was good. Of course take out changes the food a little bit so we look forward to getting it when it’s fresh.
I gave 4 stars bc the pizza needs a little more red sauce, the Mac n cheese needs more cheese or a cheese sauce and the scampi needs more sauce as well. The bread was very good. The wings are a little small but flavorful. We really liked the soft carrots with the wings. We’ve never seen that before and they were great.Overall, we are happy with the food. Can’t wait to see how the new owners grow this place into a successful business. Thank you for giving us another establishment to get great food in Candor.

Very friendly local bar and grill. Depending on the night’s planned activities the crowd can change wildly. Food is pretty good basic bar food fare. The beer tap is not extensive but they have more than the bud, bud light, coors, coors light list that many rural bars have. Over all good small town hang for some food and drinks. I go back for the people.

Double Down Bar has amazing food! I had their chicken BBQ 5-6x this summer, and I can’t stop craving it! Their mac salad is delicious —it’s a must-try. The brisket sandwich is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the beans have so much flavor. My kids love their pizza and wings!
What really sets Double Down Bar apart is the fantastic service. The owners genuinely go above and beyond to ensure every visit is memorable and enjoyable. We’ve consistently had wonderful experiences here and the prices are unbeatable. Highly recommend giving it a try!!

We ended up here on karaoke night so it was unexpectedly loud (and got louder when I got up to sing – sorry)! The food was really good- the salads especially were fresh and obviously not out of a bag which I appreciate. My husband’s burger was good and the fries would have been better if they were hotter- I think they sat for a bit. It was a little hectic though. I had a pasta special that was really tasty. Generous portions but not too big.
