My family came here to kill time & play pool w/my son and his buddy who just graduated Basic training. Nice chill spot with decent menu options with daily specials.

Publick House is a really cool restaurant, the ambiance is very old-school cool, and the service is usually pretty good as well. Although I don’t personally eat wings, this is my friends’ and family’s go-to place for the best wings in Columbia. I mainly get the mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and fries, which are for the most part above average, although a little hit-or-miss.
They have a great selection of beers, and their hand-made liquor drinks are always fresh and well-made. I have noticed however that their non-alcoholic beverages such as lemonade and soda are often watered down and not the greatest.
All-in-all, Publick House is an above-average restaurant, and one that I would definitely recommend to others and will keep coming back to.

This place was busy! Great vibes though. Had a good time watching the football natty. Had the tenders and fries. Super solid option. Crinkle cut fries, good seasoning, and the tenders didn’t look or taste like something frozen. Had a great time, will be back.

The customer service for this place is lacking, in my opinion. We ordered chicken noodle soup, and it didn’t have any chicken. It honestly appeared like vegetable soup. We asked the waiter, and he came back and said, “Well, we make our stock. It’s not can like you are used to.” Which to myself is very rude because the extra commentary wasn’t needed. The food is subpar at best, there are so many better restaurants in my opinion. Also, we found a hair in the wings, which we do appreciate that they removed it off the tab.

Food was great, slightly overpriced but still good food. Only 1 pool table which is why this isnt getting 5 stars along with the cost being $21 for tenders and fries. But for a bar, it was indeed a good meal.

The service was great, the food was pub fair with no flair. It looked tasty but only the chicken wings had something going for it. The Chicken Salad melt created chewy chicken pieces and what they call raw fries are potatoes chips but they were undercooked and not very crispy. The fish sandwich did not have the same beer batter as the fish and chips and that would have made all the difference. There are pools tables to enjoy and a nice bar for a drink. But I would not come just for the food.

Only been here a few times but so far, I’ve not had any complaints or issues. Drinks are cold, food is great, staff is great, prices are reasonable. Nice local pub to check out. Decent selection of beer and liquor. Fast service. Clean and well kept looking. Try them out if you’re in the area!
