I have been to El Gran Jardin many times. Service is always great and the food is so good. Favorites are salmon (photo), fish and chips, tacos de carnitas. Also good are: patty melt, shrimp quesadilla. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

Ordered the mozzarella sticks and French dip and it was very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant. I will return very friendly staff and fair pricing.

This place is a joke when it comes to “Mexican” food! I ordered a smothered breakfast burrito with green chile….. NOT ONLY was the green chile NOT green, it was also non-existent! The food was extremely bland, and lacked basic seasoning.

Save your money and go to an authentic Mexican restaurant!

Every meal that I have had here has been excellent! The prices are reasonable. The residents are pleased to have a restaurant back. To all the reviewers of El Gran Jardin, I am asking you to provide consideration, as El Gran Jardin is Windsor Gardens’ NEW restaurant. As we all should know, throughout our new careers, we wanted and needed a learning curve. Also, If you have suggestions for corrections, and if, in fact, you want our restaurant to succeed, it’s best not to post negative ratings on the World Wide Web for not only our community to see, but for the public to view. For positive changes, it’s best to speak to the restaurant’s managers. They are amicable folks, and of course, they want to succeed, as I do. Thanks.

We did not have a good experience here. We live close by so we thought we would give it a try for dinner. It started off promising as we settled in on the peaceful patio. We ordered chips and salsa and the salsa was a consistency that neither of us have ever seen in our lives – slimey, kind of like jam. The fajitas and tortillas were completely greasy, and fish and chips were soggy and mushy under the extremely fried exterior. There was an enormous external private party in the event space (taking up all the parking for the older folks who live at Windsor gardens) and halfway through our meal the patio became a playground for 10+ loud children from the event playing tag. My toddler son insisted on joining in and immediately got hurt amongst the chaos. We only got comped $4.99 after our valid complaints. No one seemed to care about how bad the experience was for us or the one other brave table on the patio. I feel bad for the residents of Windsor gardens, I wish they had a nice restaurant to go to.

Stopped in for the first time today & was very glad I did! Had the vegan burger, fries, a slice of apple pie, & pineapple juice. All was very delicious, the portions were generous, the prices very reasonable. The service was attentive, friendly, & quick. What more can you ask for in a restaurant? I’ll definitely be back!

This is a little hidden gem.its right on the golf course, has a lovely outside patio, the dinning room is bright and cheerful. Thr menu has something for everyone and the have a full bar.The first time I was there I had one of the Mexican dishes and it was delicious, not spicy to accommodate some of the senior residents.this visit I had a mushroom Swiss burger cooked to perfection & and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. Our waitress Diana was great.

So sad. Recently raised prices and downgraded quality.
Ordered onion rings and a cheesesteak, at first both were really good and loved the homemade onion rings.
Craving onion rings again and ordered here for pick up. Boy the prices went up and the rings were no longer homemade. Frozen from a box, not any better than burger king for $3, but these fake onion rings cost me $11.
Raising prices and falling quality has stopped people from coming to be taken advantage of. The owner’s are not smart. Now they are getting a financial stipend off the backs of the residents in order to keep their doors open.
So, as a resident who will not ever eat there again, my HOA fees are covering this failure of a restaurant.
Seriously, how hard is it to make an onion ring? I am fully against pre-cooked, frozen, deep fried food, I am also fully against them getting their rent waved because business isn’t good. Business isn’t good because…. read the reviews!
Fool me once. I think that is the mindset of the thousands of ppl who live here. A bad restaurant DESERVES to fail, not to get bailed out.

Inconsistent. In the past week I have had dinner twice. 1st time I ordered pot roast. Covered with gravy to hide the fat. Vegetables served at room temperature and raw. On the patio with 8 to 10 kids running and screaming with no parental oversight, as they were inside in the banquet room. Attempts were made by the owner to no avail, until the parents were made aware that this was unacceptable. 2nd dinner was slightly better but still not great. Fish and chips ordered. 2 small pieces of fish that looked larger than they really were because there was a “tail” of breading. The French fries are undercooked. My coleslaw and tartar sauce were served together on a small dish. When I asked the waitress to separate them so they could be eaten not mixing the two, she walked away and never came back. The person next to me was served appropriately with larger pieces of fish and tartar sauce and coleslaw in separate dishes. No care by the kitchen for consistency. All of this is just common sense. But I guess common sense is not very common. BTW the restaurant was not busy on either of these occasions.
