The bartenders are attentive, friendly, and work hard, the service is very quick, the food is standard bar fare but is a good deal. They chronically overserve people however and to me it’s just irresponsible. I have seen people get drinks when they are in no shape to be having more, I have seen people whose only drinks were at the bar getting very sick and incoherent after leaving, even getting sick in the parking lot (which to be fair it’s not like the staff can see since they are working) . With there being no means of transportation in town, it equates to people driving home drunk. That’s another important thing to mention, the cops keep an eye on the road, so be warned (not that anyone should be driving under the influence anyways).
The atmosphere is a typical small town bar with typical small town drama. Would not advise going here alone as a woman unless you like being hounded, but if you mentioned it to the staff they would make sure you are taken care of.
All in all, it’s a small town bar, you probably know what you’re getting into, but for health and safety concerns I gotta give it one star but your mileage may vary of any of the negatives I presented are also negatives to you.

Nope nope nope nope. We went on a Sunday about 10 of us, and it was free tacos that looked dried and sad. We had to arrange our own tables together and if you want a drink you had to go to the bar. After a quick discussion, we all got up and left this place. They definitely make no effort to make guests feel they are welcomed.

Awesome little local joint. We were out riding out motorcycles I the area and was looking for a place to eat. Everything in the area was closed. (It’s Sunday). We asked a local at the gas station she sent us here. Great atmosphere. Pool tables downstairs, outside patio you can eat on. An they do free Tacos on Sunday. We lucked out finding this place. The taco’s were awesome !

All staff there are incredibly drunk every weekend. The bouncer was slurring his words and pounding beer. The bartenders gave me a different amount of change for the same order multiple times… And also were more busy pouring themselves drinks than serving them to customers. People sitting at the bar were vaping, I saw some guy do some lines downstairs near the pool tables, and folks seem to get belligerently drunk here and then drive home.
This bar is a dive.

Absolutely terrible. The bar staff only tends to who they like personally so plan on waiting 30 minutes for a drink on a busy night. The food is sub par at best and the “free” tacos on sundays aren’t so free as they will harass you into buying a beer before you can finish your food. Would not recommend to anybody

This was a nice place that I found through Google search when traveling. They have a real fireplace and comfortable seating downstairs along with pool tables and the bar was upstairs where you could also grab some food. Nice deck leading outside. I definitely plan to visit this place when I am in the area again!

It’s a cute little place to chill.
After sightseeing in the afternoon. Stop by and have a bite to eat. And a couple of good drinks. Nice people, good company, good Bartender..

Jean is a great owner. I haven’t met her business partner Joe but Im sure hes someone special in this world. I was fortunate enough to experience a part of my youth around Jean, Kathy and my dearest of all concerns Rosemary. I would like to think that what Jean and Joe have built is a tribute to the continuing friendships of so many special people from Quabbin High School and a seedling of the Barre, Hubbardston area. I was there last night to reminisce about those salad days of life. I was able to reconnect and think about the era, the sounds and textures of my youth. Jean is a Saint in my eyes. This is more than just a bar. This is a commual location where people can experience a moment of nostalgic setting of introspect and refresh themselves from the life we all must live. The bar is well sized with ample comfort. The youthful female bartender was polite and i could sense her dedication to her employment. This is a place where people can simply relax and enjoy the surrounding nature of its isolation. If your ever nearby please patronize these wonderful people. Come as you are and just relax. Its worth the experience to look out over the back deck and imagine the goodness of continuing friendship wherever they may be in life. Thank you Jean for being the wonderfully spirited women you are. It truly runs in the family. Prosper, love and I will never forget the joy and good times we shared in this life.

Can be very cozy, but it’s an inconsistent place. The atmosphere varies greatly, as does how crowded the bar gets. The best part is there large binder of custom cocktails.
