Kevin’s is a great little spot — the burgers are absolutely delicious and pair perfectly with their cider. It’s a nice, relaxed place to stop in for a meal or drink. Just a heads-up: they close at 8, so make sure to come early to enjoy it!

9/10 recommend!
As we all know there are very few options that stick out for dining in Bennington/Hoosick Falls area.
Well, this meal stood out. Why you may ask?
Something I learned many years ago as a chef…
K.I.S.S.-Keep It Stupid Simple (or super simple depending on where you learned it)
Nothing here was over done or over complicated. Only reason it wasn’t a 10 was the service and atmosphere. The bartender needs to pay attention to all guests not just the regulars (least that’s what it seemed, maybe she just made new friends) Either way she was very friendly, just also very inattentive. The music was also a little sketchy, and the green light calling for food runners was right in my eyes, dining as the two top by the kitchen door.

Get comfy for the full review of food:
The burger-hand packed cooked to perfection, seasoned well (meaning I can taste seasoning throughout, not just saturated with salt and pepper on the outside. It was the juiciest burger I’ve had from a pub in years. The fries were crispy, but not hollow inside, most importantly served hot. Loved the fact the sweet fries were also thick battered crispy, not just the thin cut ones that always come out soggy. The bacon was cooked on point; so it had a slight chew, you know that good meatiness of a bite, not chewy like fat or burnt “crispy” to hide poor quality. Everything else on the plate was delicious that’s just the high points.

Next the club, although this wasn’t my meal, I can already say I’d put it against any club in the area…first off it’s a beast of a sandwich, the picture doesn’t do justice. It made my half pound burger look small. Properly made with 3 slices of bread, mayo on each slice, bacon, lettuce and tomato on bottom half and turkey with lettuce on top half. Now, again this is about simplicity and great product selection. The bread wasn’t overly thick, but also wasn’t too thin. It was lightly toasted so it didn’t crumble as you tried to bite through it. The biggest compliment was my mom saying “This is really good turkey.” I’m not saying she’s a picky eater, but let’s say she knows what she likes. Again, her regular fries were hot and crispy.

Lastly-without drinks, and including an appetizer of potstickers this was only about $40!

You’d be missing out if you didn’t give them a try!

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The restaurant and bar were nothing to look at. It was a Monday around 4:00 pm. We were the only customers except for 1 or 2 people at the bar. We ordered chili to share and a chef salad with grilled chicken and a bacon cheese burger. Everything was delicious. The chili was exceptional, covered with a thick layer of melted cheese. My burger was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Could have used a few more onion strings on top, but otherwise, one of the best. Our waiter was the bar tender from the barroom which was in a separate area. He did a great job attending to our needs. So, don’t let looks fool you. Highly recommend this establishment for simply great tasting food.

Food was good. If we lived locally we would go back. French onion soup was very good. The roast beef dip was good, the au jus was salty which I love. My husband had a tuna melt which was good.

Worst place in Vermont . I have traveled the world to find myself in the village of North Bennington VT, only to be in the midst of the worst bar, and easily worst restaurant in all of new England. Dare I say all of the USA. The people that work here are confrontational, can’t make a steak can’t muster taste on a burger. If my recommendations ever meant don’t eat here or you’ll get sick rang true now is that time to mention it, the food combined with atmosphere is enough to turn your stomach. It was once a great place, maybe ownership changed hands in the past 10 years or more, I remember when it was a great place. Not anymore.

The surprise I did not expect! The best fried chicken in all of New England and best clams ever!!! Not to mention the bartender actually knows how to balance a drink! If I could give more stars i would. If you pass up this place turn around and go back you won’t find better in town. And massive portions!!! We couldn’t eat it all.
