I felt like i was n “old times” white people were looking at me and my children like why were we there and they didnt make us feel welcomed more like i was stealing wanted to make sure i got exactly what i came in for ok standard but the level of checking after me was ridiculous. And making sure me and my kids left was crazzzyyy. I got the food i was delivery and called uber and asked to NEVER give me an order from their againand reported them. That feeling is still with me til day And this happened a week ago. They might as well put a “Whites Only” sign up!!! Although I saw like 2 black employees in the back.

Went to a Cracker Barrel in Columbia SC and few weeks ago and almost decided to never visit another Cracker Barrel. I decided to give the one in Summerville SC a try because I really wanted to try the Campfire Meal. It turned into one of the best dining experiences I’ve had recently. There was no wait being that this was midday on a Tuesday and our waitress Megan S had the best southern attitude you would want to run into. She was funny, helpful, and a joy to be around. The food came out fast and hot. The Campfire Beef was delicious and the s’mores brownie was chocolate overload. This was Cracker Barrel that i remember from younger days. Great all around!

Great food and service today. Very busy so wait time was lengthy. My maple bacon glazed grilled chicken was very tasty and apples were delicious but the mashed potatoes had been sitting out for awhile and was dry but with gravy still tasty. Husband meatloaf dinner with Mac and cheese and chicken and dumplings were very good. My sons shrimp and steak fries were good and not over cooked. Our waiter was so busy but took great care of us. Biscuits and muffins were excellent as well.

We went to eat before it got packed for dinner. So that being said, my biscuits were hard, not fresh, the gravy was bland, our cornbread came out with the meal, I would have thought you’d get that ahead of time and my beef tips were overcooked. I mentioned this all to the waitress and all she said was, I tried to pick the softest biscuits we had. SMH

My understanding is that cracker barrel has gone through some difficult times due to changes that corporate has tried to make. However, I still love and enjoy going to cracker barrel with my wife. We call cracker barrel comfort food! I can’t tell you how many times we have gone to cracker barrel when facing difficult circumstances. My family cherishes all the memories that we have eating at cracker barrel. Thank you.

We came in to place a take out order. I got meatloaf with green beans and loaded mashed potatoes and also a stack of pancakes. I honestly should’ve taken a photo as soon as I opened the container but I didn’t. The meatloaf was completely burnt and hard at the top with little to no tomato sauce. The food was cold and there were no condiments or silverware for the pancakes. I’m not sure if this occurred because it was close to closing but I was highly disappointed. I was already home in Ladson so it was too late to take my food back so I just removed the whole top of the meatloaf which only left a few bites. As far as the pancakes, they weren’t good at all, it had a hint of salt as if the same batter used for the cornbread was also used for the pancakes which we typically really enjoy their pancakes. We barely ate one and left the other two. We usually enjoy patronizing Cracker Barrel but lately the quality of food has greatly decreased and we more than likely won’t be returning. As far as the service, the employee with the shaved sides and Mohawk hairstyle shouldn’t follow customers around while shopping for items in the store as if something was being stolen, not appreciated at all.

Stopped in for breakfast right when they opened. No wait. Great Service. Food was good. I really enjoyed my Homestyle Chicken n French Toast. Delicious! Family loved their pancakes. Not a big fan of the syrup nor the sweet tea though. Of course we loved looking around the shop. I frequently purchase their Buttermints in-store and online.

The service was good from the hostess to the waitress to cashier. However, the food was not what would be expected. Very disappointed in the food I was served. The pinto beans were so overcooked, they literally stuck to the fork even holding the fork upside-down.

As a follow-up, I’ve also made a notation to the customer relations link in the reply from the restaurant. Maybe the team will work together to get back to their old standards to make their customers feel like eating in a comfortable, homestyle environment.

One of the main reasons I go to Cracker Barrel is for pancakes. I want my pancakes to be nice golden and crispy like they are online and on the billboards. When I walked in the restaurant and was being seated, I observed that the pancakes were very light in color so when I ordered mine I asked for them to be crispy and or left on the grill for longer. When the server brought my pancakes to me they were indeed not crispy or golden brown. She asked sarcastically, “are these dark enough for you?” And I replied “no.” She then said “oh you want them to be burnt?” I felt as though she was trying to be funny and I should have asked for the manager but I didn’t. I regret that decision. These pancakes were tough and chewy as if the batter was over mixed. The rest of my food was okay. The bacon was super hard and dry. I had to send my mimosa back because there was something black floating around in it. I did receive another Mimosa pitcher promptly. I will not be returning to this location.
