Dalvin is the BEST bartender ever! Not only were his drinks amazing, but he also was so inviting, patient, and helpful! He gave great recommendations for food spots in the area!

The hostess was lovely. However, there were only 3 other tables at 6pm and we waited 24 min to even be greeted by our server. Then noticed the auto gratuity’s 20%. Cocktails were great, bartenders did the work. Serve staff isn’t working the way they should knowing that they get gratuity either way. Also, it shouldn’t say service fee, but gratuity. Great view.

This bar is perfectly located and has an incredible team. Dalvin, in particular, provided exceptional customer service and made our visit from Texas feel so special. He truly elevated the entire experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Service was pretty good, however we wanted to buy a bottle of champagne or two and relax watching the times square which for some reason could not be accommodated. So we ordered a small plate and a cocktail a piece and then left since apparently they were not sitting anyone there… offered the hostess to pay whatever minimum they desired and were told no. Pretty bad business decision, and I would not return.

The view is 360 of the lights and screens of Time’s square is SPECTACULAR, but only that is ‍♂️.

The service is poor, since you arrive at the host through the food runners and finishing with the waiter, everyone gives a lacking service, it is sad because the place has a lot of potential, I went with many expectations but I was disappointed.
I didn’t have a bad time, Don’t get me wrong, but it’s not a place where you can enjoy a special evening, the food was ok, nothing spectacular but edible, the drinks were good. But I definitely wouldn’t come back. don’t recommend going to dinner, the place is more to drink than 1 or 2 cocktails to enjoy the view and its that’s enough.
Obviously not all experiences are the same, you should try for yourself if you want.

If you’re looking for the best Times Square “experience” for dinner or a snack, make sure to check out the R Lounge! Cannot beat the views. The food was good, super simple menu – we got the truffle fries, hummus plate, and Caesar salad. I’d definitely go again. But if you’re super hungry, maybe get appetizers and drinks here, then move onto somewhere else for a really good meal.

Had an amazing dinner at the R Lounge! Glenn, Horatio, and Kelly were the BEST!!! The view was spectacular, food was delicious and service was the cherry on top. Everything Kelly recommended exceeded my expectations. A family of 5 sat near by and their children were well behaved and enjoyed the view as much as I did. The energy was spectacular. Very affordable and delicious! To Kelly and Horatio thanks for making dining alone not feel so alone. I loved the care and attention you not only gave me but the guest around me.
Will definitely be back.
Thanks R Lounge for being a great part to my trip first visit to NYC!!!

Worse service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Put bar napkins down on the table said hello than ignored us for 20 minutes not even any water. Asked question about a cocktail and had no idea anything about it. Left a real bad taste in my mouth so I didn’t want to order a drink just food than continued to aggressively pressure me into a drink where it made me uncomfortable

It’s a hotel lounge/restaurant (part of Renaissance hotel) and the menu is pretty small, but has decent drinks offering. The food is actually not bad despite the very small number of choices. Burger is ok, salad is fresh, French fries is adequately savory. The pizza is a little disappointing and probably aimed more towards kids. The kettle chips is so-so because the flavor was good but not as crispy as it should be.
That being said, the selling point of this place is the location! It’s right up facing Times Square and has probably the best view of the New Years ball if you ever decide to watch it in person (which in my personal opinion isn’t worth the time and effort after doing it once).
It’s fun to eat dinner while people watching and seeing all the giant screens in Times Square.

The view is better than the food and the service can be a bit slow and uncaring. I tried this place twice: at night and during the day. Night is prettier since it looks out on Time Square. The lobster roll is fishy but the grilled cheese and bacon was tasty. Best thing on the menu is 99 cents: the old bay seasoned potato chips. Quite good. Skip dessert, they aren’t very good.
