I love coming here after class, it feels like I’m off campus and away from the stress. My favorite dishes are the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and Chicken quesadilla.

It’s a lovely place but not satisfied with their staff, she was reluctant to clarify their menu to me, I ordered Grits & shrimp with steamed rice + broccoli but DID NOT ENJOY IT AT ALL my husband enjoyed his food though . I’m sorry I personally can’t recommend this place to friends

This is a great restaurant. From the management all the way through to the chef, everything was excellent. I had the cornbread muffins, which have real corn and a taste of honey. #deliciousness. I also had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken breast. The chicken breast was grilled just as it should be, not timid and barely brown as it is at some restaurants. Even the iced tea was superb. Add to this, the company of faculty, community, and students, and Bistro 1876 becomes the best place I know to have lunch with a good friend.

This was really good food. The service was just a tad slow but I wasn’t in any hurry so it didn’t really bother me. The server was really nice, inquired whether I liked my food (which I did) and let me know that if there was anything else I needed I should let him know. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely go back because I would love to try their oxtails. People on Facebook have been been giving rave reviews about those.

Me and my boyfriend are both freshmen and I THOUGHT it would be a cute place to have a little lunch date. Key word being thought cause I was proven terribly wrong. We stood for the longest at the entrance waiting to be seated, then once we were finally seated it took forever for our orders to get taken. I got my order like 30mins before my boyfriend’s food came out, when his did come out it was cold, my order was wrong, the food didn’t taste great, our silver wear and plates were just dropped on the table, and customer service is slow and bad. After waiting forever to get the ticket to pay for the food we barely ate, the only good part about the experience came to be that our server was so disorganized that she didn’t charge us for our drinks or my boyfriend’s meal. Don’t recommend this place at all!

The food was GREAT but the service is horrible. We were standing forever to wait to get seated, and waited 30 minutes for our ticket to pay. Never got any drink refills either. She forgot to put in our additional to-go order too. Would recommend maybe getting the food to-go, because the dining experience was terrible.

I have to give this place a 5 star because the food is SO divine it send me to cloud nine every time lol. Bistro 1876 feeds my soul….It’s my favorite place to dine when I’m on The Hill. The Bistro is a nice, quiet, peaceful establishment — the service is good and the food is even better. If you happen to drop by make sure you try the the grilled salmon with Florentine sauce and a sweet tea! Be sure to get a loyalty card too because for every 5 meals the 6th one is on them. Tell them @SanericaD sent you (wink, wink).

I would rate 0 stars if I could but unfortunately they only allowed me to do one star. First of all it took about 20 minutes to be seated. Secondly when we were sat it took another 20 minutes for the server to get us our drinks. Then when the drinks were brought they were slammed on the table. 40 minutes later my girlfriends food was bought then 15 minutes later mine not to mention that was also slammed on the table. Then I look at the kitchen window for the millionth time. . By now I’m ready to go but unfortunately I have to wait 30 more minutes for the waiter to come to me so I can pay. I’d rather eat ramen noodles than this.

Hump day is delicious. The shrimp has a crunchiness and fries are seasoned (no need for ketchup). You get unlimited sauce :).
