Reviews
For context, here is my original review from 01/13/2026:
⭐⭐⭐⭐
We got Casa Cabos to go and tried a couple items from the menu. The food was packaged well and everything was still hot when we got home. The overall flavor was solid, so it felt like a good first try. It is the kind of place that seems worth ordering from again.
I ordered the Burrito Los Cabos and the taste was good, but it was really greasy. By the time we opened it up, it was basically soaked in oil. The grease made the burrito feel heavy and messy, even though the ingredients themselves were good. Because of that, I probably would not order that burrito again.
We also got three steak tacos and those were very good. The steak had great flavor and the tacos did not feel greasy like the burrito did. They were the best part of our order and the easiest thing to enjoy. Overall, I would order from Casa Cabos again, but next time I would stick with the tacos and skip the Burrito Los Cabos.
The only disappointment was the fried ice-cream…they forgot to fry it. It was just vanilla ice-cream on a crispy tortilla thing. Ive always wanted to try fried ice-cream so this was quite a disappointment!
Overall, we will visit this place again.
Food wise, we tried a spread of entrees and none of them justified the price.
Burrito Los Cabos
This one sounds stacked on paper with rice, beans, carnitas, chorizo, pastor, steak, sour cream, guacamole, and chipotle salsa. In reality it ate like a heavy, greasy mash with no balance. The meats blurred together, the tortilla got soggy fast, and the chipotle salsa on the side could not save it. It was messy, oily, and more exhausting than enjoyable.
Burrito Mar y Tierra
This is supposed to be a big mix of chicken, steak, and shrimp cooked with onions, bell pepper, and tomatoes. The idea is solid, but the execution was not. The filling tasted watered down, the veggies were soft and bland, and the shrimp had that overcooked, rubbery bite. It needed seasoning and texture, but it mostly delivered mush.
Steak and Cheese Burrito
A grilled steak burrito topped with queso blanco, served with rice, beans, and a guacamole salad. The steak was not the issue, the queso was. It was heavy and one note, and it turned the whole thing into a salty, creamy brick. By the end it just felt greasy and overwhelming, not rich in a good way.
Southwest Chimichanga
This chimichanga is described as grilled chicken with black beans, spinach, onion, and monterrey jack, served with guacamole, salad, rice and beans. The shell was more oily than crisp, and the inside was oddly wet, which made it feel like it had been sitting. The spinach and beans sounded like a nice change, but the flavors did not come through, and it was mostly grease plus filler.
Enchiladas Los Cabos
Three cheese enchiladas topped with pork and green sauce, with rice and beans. This was the biggest letdown. The green sauce tasted sharp but not fresh, and the pork on top felt like an afterthought. The cheese enchiladas were flat and heavy, and the plate needed brightness or heat but did not have it.
Between the disrespectful service and the disappointing food, this is an easy one star. I will not be back.
