Small little place with great Mexican food. The service was friendly and fast and the burrito bowl was delicious and well made. The chicken was spiced and cooked well and was not gamey at all. The tacos were also delicious!

Me and my boyfriend were in the area due to a doctor’s appt and looking for a place to eat and wanted tacos. I saw the 5 stars and said that’s where we’re going. Definitely did not disappoint and I now know why its rated 5 stars. Owner is very nice and friendly! Food was amazing and great prices! If we are back in this area we will definitely be coming back! Check out this place and the owner just opened doors a couple months ago.

The 2 taco plate (Carne Asada) is delicious and fresh. Very tasty salsa (I love the red). The only thing I would have liked is a piece of lime to squeeze on the tacos. Otherwise, portion sizes are big, as I got a good amount of meat in the tacos. A great value, as well. Friendly service and I will be back to try other items!

AJ’s was super tasty! The burrito was super huge and had great flavor. The red and green sauces were far better than most of the Mexican restaurants around, and the French fries were delicious.

AJ’s Taqueria is an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant that just opened up. The food was spot on with a lot of taco places that I to travel to Des Plaines for. I for one being a Park Ridge resident will do my best to support this local business and many others. The other great part about AJ’s taqueria is that they still serve Ice cream because Frosty Penguin was the business before. I didn’t try the ice cream, but I will be back soon for some. Everything was clean which is personally important to me. She was a waitress at Lola’s (I believe) and now is in business in Park Ridge which is great to see and hear. I wish the owner success in her business, and I will continue to come here for a quick bite. They also do burrito bowls which everyone knows are the best.

Ordered a burrito bowl with extra steak and a jarritos for $20. Some of the steak was very fatty with and had pieces I had to take out of my mouth and put to the side. I also didn’t like that they mixed it all up for me because it kinda looked like a bunch of schlop when they opened the box. And when refried beans are mixed in with everything else it tastes pretty bland. The red sauce was pretty good and the main reason it had some flavor. Not a fan.

I was very surprised to find a new spot pop up near my job and it was very good. The burrito was bigger then expected and very good. Green salsa is amazing!!
