I never have a problem ordering from here until today. I had to repeat my order and they still messed it up. Once I called them to make them aware of the issue the lady was very cocky. That won’t stop me from going there but I will definitely avoid sundays.

The chips are mediocre. The salsa that comes with the chips is not good either. The shrimp tacos only come with three shrimp and too much cilantro. The tacos have good flavor and the other salsas in plastic containers but nothing extraordinary. I give El Molcajete two stars as it needs more effort in offering unique dishes and ingredients. Very average Mexican food. Also need cleaner bathrooms. Loud music and tv at the same time.

The Gordita de Rajas with avocado was a little messy but holly cow it was delicious! I’m extremely picky when it comes to pastor meat The pastor tacos here were by far one of the best tacos I’ve tried in the Joliet /Plainfield area! ! Give them a try you will not regret it!! I’ll be definitely coming back soon!

Favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at whenever we come to joliet. The servers are great whenever we go, bathrooms and tables are clean. My go to are the hurrache and their special the molcajete which is huge is good for arleast 2.

Absolutely 5 star worthy! We are from out of town and looked through all the Mexican restaurants online (because tacos & burritos are life). Do your fat kid soul a favor and order the barbacoa chimichanga! The chicken chimichanga was also amazing, but their barbacoa was an 11 out of 10! It takes them a minute to get the food out, but it’s worth the wait for real quality.
