Very local neighborhood kind of place.. which i like and enjoy personally. My buddy Bobby told me about how he has been going there for years. Like more of a family setting then some over the top Italian restaurant. Food was fantastic.. my wife had the chicken robere( in picture)…and she is very picky.. but she absolutely loved it.. had the broccoli in garlic and oil with linguine as a side i had an incredible veal marsala.. with marsala mushroom fettuccine… wow..had to get more bread for the sauce.. the service help was also very attentive and always smiling. I like that as well. Very positive experience.. we will be part of the family now. Bobby’s local 3 family..lol

Came here for dinner for the first time and it was such a GREAT experience!
First off, the chef himself came to our table and greeted us and took our order (which i thought was odd bc usually waitresses do that). He had 2 other waitresses but they were mainly serving food and cleaning the tables when needed. I did notice the chef went to every table and took everyone’s order, did small talk and laugh, was attentive and checked in on everyone time to time while going to the back to cook. Now you definitely don’t see that in restaurants nowadays and it gave such a warm home feeling the entire time. It seems he wants every customer that walks in to feel like they’re not just here to eat and leave but it’s more of a cozy, friendly vibe. I’ve never been to Italy but if this is how they are over there, you’ll love it here lol
The food was good and everything was so FRESH and well made. I’ve actually enjoyed all 7 dishes we’ve ordered. Usually, most Italian restaurants make me feel heavy at the end of the meal but something about this place makes you feel satisfied in a good way and that has to be bc he uses fresh ingredients. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy the ultimate Italian experience bc the entire time it didnt feel like i was in NY haha

One of my favorite Italian restaurants! The hidden gem of bayside. Food is always fresh, wine is always good, and the service always makes you feel special. Pepito de cozi is my favorite!

We found this place by accident after a quick search in the area. I cannot say enough. The food and flavors were excellent of 3 separate meals. All had a a taste of each! This place is a gem from welcoming, service and experience. It is absolutely worth it and even though it is a 1.5 hour trip we will return as I need to try the rest of the menu! BRAVO

This was an amazing culinary experience we got to have as our last meal before we left NYC. And it was the most amazing meal we had during our trip. The food was prepared with the love and care only a true Italian chef uses. We were greeted multiple times by the Chef. He paired wine with our meals, offered his suggestions of his menu. And our entire table was left happy and amazed at the food we ate. The staff was amazing, attentive and wonderful.

Our group of bus friends (we’ve ridden the same bus to work for 15 years) gather to celebrate birthdays. We opted for Piccolo Sogno for this month’s celebration. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were perfect. And the recommended wines were the perfect complement! We felt like we were welcomed into someone’s gracious home and wanted to ensure our celebration was truly joyous. Maurizio and his staff provided excellent, food, and service. We were a group of 8 and not one irk or “I’ve had better was uttered”. Thank you, Mauricio and team!

This was absolutely horrible pizza. Stay away. After reading the reviews I gave this hole in the wall a shot on Saturday night. I ordered the frutti di mare pizza. Its supposed to come with some marinara sauce but was completely missing. It had an off smell and the seafood was not fresh. To top it off there was hair on the calamari. The cheese and pizza itself was soggy and floppy. The texture of the cheese was like plastic wrap. I hope I didn’t get food poisoning. Not worth the $35 it costs. Not worth even $10.

I wanted to try this place for a while since they are the only place near me that serves Pizza Frutti Di Mare, and I saw the recent review on the Frutti Di Mare pizza from this restaurant and wanted to judge it for myself and so I ordered some delivery and it came faster than the expected time that was displayed on their website that I ordered from so I was glad about about. I ordered the Pizza Frutti Di Mare 12 inch and a side order of mozzarella sticks, and least to say, I was not disappointed at all, the pizza was really good, even my mom who is very picky about fatty carb heavy foods liked it. There was a lot of tasty calamari, mussels, and clams on the pizza, and I also liked the marinara sauce on the pizza it was very complementary to the seafood. The only small issue was the shrimp, they were slightly overcooked but that may be because it was delivered as the residual heat may have cooked it further. I definitely should try dining in, to give a further updated review. Overall, the Frutti Di Mare pizza and mozzarella sticks were really good and I would definitely order from here again.

Everything I’ve always ordered here was just absolutely delicious. I love how Chef Maurizio takes the time to come out from the kitchen to go around table to table greeting his customers. I really appreciate the fact that he does this. That is true and sincere hospitality…and that’s something that seldomly happens in most restaurants! He is truly a master in his profession!!
