Everything was great here!! This was our first time and we both loved it. Food was delicious, prices are very reasonable, and the service is nice and fairly quick.
The only minor complaint is that it can be a little intimating / pressuring when you walk inside and aren’t familiar with the restaurant and you need to look at the walls to see the menu. It would be nice if there was a paper menu available.
But other than that, it’s a lovely place for a quick and economical breakfast / lunch place, and definitely recommend it. And I especially recommend the Nutella french toast!

Great breakfast spot with a decent assortment of options. The brewed coffee was really good. I ordered The Stinger breakfast sandwich which was delicious. The service was friendly and the restaurant had quite a few people eating in restaurant and taking out. Looks like it’s a local favorite.

Here is another first visit for us, Hornets Nest Deli in Branford. While driving from East Haven through Branford we came upon the Hornets Nest Deli. The parking which is more than adequate was loaded with vehicles at 1:10P.M. thats a good sign for me. So we stopped in, first impression everyone knows everyone, lots of conversations going on very clean and lots of seating. Then you look over to the side wall and see the menu, yikes , many options available panini, sub, sandwiches and wraps, not to mention a very large choice of salads. we settled on splitting a #21 sub, grilled chicken with avocado, bacon lettuce and tomato with a balsamic vinaigrette. PERFECT, fresh bread chicken done just right a great sub. Great menu, great food, great service and a friendly staff, what more could you ask for.

This place is amazing! Even though it was very busy when we went, the service was quick and everyone was very helpful. Our sandwiches had fresh ingredients and our fried sides (fries for me and onion rings for my wife) we’re cooked to perfection. One of the best places in town for breakfast or lunch.

We are visiting from out of state and did dine in both times. Food and service are fantastic. Would absolutely recommend stopping here if you are visiting Branford or Guilford. We had breakfast platters and the French toast and pancake and all were delicious. Would absolutely come back if we are in the area.

I love hornets nest its always packed but within 5 or 10 mins I get a seat the food is consistently incredible I go almost weekly for the breakfast my 2 year old loves it there

Got #14 Thanksgiving, with sweet potato fries. Turkey was so fresh, cranberry sauce tasty and stuffing was delicious. Fries nice and crispy, not greasy at all. My first visit, ill be back! You should try this place.

Place is going down hill fast. Third time they messed up my order this week and it’s only Tues, asked for buffalo chicken soup and they still gave me chicken noodle, AGAIN, not to mention this is the absolute worst watered down soup i’ve ever had in my life. Would have been better off with a can of Cambells.
