Somewhere in Anaheim, a massive tray of mandi lands on the table.
Reviews
Good halal food option in Anaheim.
I come here mostly for the Adeni chai (tea). I’ll order a pot and we share amongst friends.
I rarely come here for food.
A lot of the dishes are overpriced for what they are.
That website to order from the online menu needs some serious mobile phone interface updates. It takes way too long to find items.
They need paper towels and not just air dryers in the bathroom.
There are a couple of dishes I’ve tried out and did like.
I do like a few desserts too.
Dishes I liked (check out pictures):
Chicken galaba
Harazi Rotisserie Chicken
Spicy potato
Desserts:
Rose milk cake
Saffron milk cake
The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, literally falling off the bone. I usually don’t like lamb at all, but even the lamb impressed me. It had no strong smell and didn’t taste gamy whatsoever, which says a lot. The rice was perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
The sides were just as enjoyable, Mushakal forn was delicious, and the hummus, salad, and salsa complemented the meal so well. On top of that, the drinks were refreshing and very flavorful.
What really tied everything together was the service. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Yemeni food, great flavors, and excellent service. If I ever come back into town, I’ll definitely be back!
Lamb was good–generous bed of rice. Fasoli, big disappointment, strong tomato flavor, very “white” (lacking spices) said our white guest.
The veggie dish was flavorful, almost enough spices (but potatoe fries, nooo).
High price point for quality & quantity of veggies dishes.
We omnivores will take a pass on returning.
Oh, waited 40-45 minutes for our food (we almost left), no update or checking on us. We joked to my husband that they were still picking the lamb a few doors down. Only 4-6 tables of people, yet hardly attentive service.
Kick up the Yemeni spices & service, Team Mandi.
i’ll always remember and desire the food even after i’ve left!! everything tasted fresh and amazing, the seasoning was incredible.
amazing place!!! 10000000% recommend coming here!
The Chicken Mandi was perfectly seasoned, with tender chicken sitting atop fragrant, spiced rice. The crispy fried onions on top were a perfect touch, adding a delightful crunch and extra flavor to the dish. The Lamb Mandi, on the other hand, had juicy, melt-in-your-mouth lamb that paired beautifully with the aromatic rice and crispy onions–simply divine.
To wash it all down, I highly recommend the Lemon Mint it was refreshing, cool, and complemented the spiciness of the dishes perfectly.
The service was outstanding! Ali and Dulce made sure everything was just right, and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our meal. Their hospitality really made the experience feel special.
If you’re in the mood for some seriously delicious, comforting food with top-notch service, this Mandi spot is the place to be! Highly recommend!
