Good Texas BBQ. Not the best in Texas but still pretty good. The brisket was alright, the smoked turkey and sausage were really good. The sides were good, mashed potatoes and gravy and the mac and cheese. Overall good BBQ.

Got the sample pack. We enjoyed the ribs and sausage; however, the brisket had no favor and pulled pork was very dry. The sides were good, but nothing stood out. Overall was a good meal.

Extremely over priced!! Plus…the pinto beans were barely warm. I asked for lean cut brisket and got left over fat brisket!!! Its sad when the potatoe salad is the ONLY thing good!!! AND… The restroom is OUTSIDE!!!!!

Awesome Local BBQ. The flavor is good and the meat was moist. The sides were delicious. The sauce was good, nothing special. Their pecan pie is one if the best I ever had. We’ll be stopping on our trips btw SA and Glen Rose.

Brisket and beef ribs were the star. The pepper jack sausage as well as the BBQ sauce were very good. Sides we’re a little lacking but I came here for meat and was not disappointed. Restrooms are in the back behind the restaurant.

This is a great laid back barbecue place. I got a loaded brisket baked potato, and everyone else got a sausage and meat plate with two sides (potato salad and pinto beans). The brisket was great!

We’re not locals, but whenever we’re passing through we always stop to get a good lunch. Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids were full after we shared two plates. We were in town for a birthday party at Putters and Gutters.

Friend called me while I was returning from vacation, told him I was near Lampasas, he recommended this spot. Glad he did. I was first in the door as it opened. Friendly folks serving. Brisket, pepper jack sausage, beans and mac/cheese. Brisket was pull apart tender. Sausage had pieces of pepper jack cheese inside it. But meats were very good. Lots of seating available including outside on picnic tables. Definitely recommend a visit to this bbq spot in Lampasas
