10/04/2025 Plaza Jalisco continues to serve exceptional food in a clean environment, served up by friendly and engaging staff.
This evening, Mr. Wonderful had the seafood chimichanga, with rice and beans (huge portion), I didn’t think he’d be able to finish it – but he did – he couldn’t stop. I had a cheese enchilada and taco. Per usual, everything was delicious.
Side note: the beans that come with the chips and salsa are amazing! I could eat a vat of them! They their Picadillo!
2024 – Terrific little restaurant that serves up some huge flavors.
Larry was our server, he was friendly, professional, and efficient.
Our meals were served quickly and tasted delicious. Mr. wonderful ordered the Carnitas and there was nothing left on his plate. Obviously this meal hit the spot. He also ordered the Cadillac margarita but was unable to finish it, it was huge!
I ordered the #1 combination plate; taco, enchilada, and tostada. I’ll be having it again tomorrow for lunch and a snack!

Lunch time, 1st time eating there. I ordered Arroz con Mariscos, with scallops and shrimp. This was a very large meal, served with rice and tortillas. My friend ordered the Tacos del Buey, loaded with Carne Asada, served with beans and rice. The service was excellent. And a little bonus at the end of the meal, ice cream and whipped cream wad included.

Excellent service with excellent food, you can tell it’s a great restaurant when you step in the door and the smell wafts over you. The wait staff were very attentive and quick on their feet. The margaritas were very well sized, if you catch my drift. I was honestly surprised considering how rural the surrounding area is, but this definitely is a gem, a diamond in the rough if you will.

Kind, quick service, evenly attentive to all patrons, cool frosted mug for my root beer and a DELICIOUS expresso burrito. AND! – a complimentary dessert during the big heat wave this summer. Salsa and bean dip were so good with the “while you wait” chips. The temperature was nice and cozy despite the 90°+ temps outside!

Food was great! A bit expensive and sad to see the taco salad came with no rice or beans for $13.00. Parking is limited but manageable. It was packed when we came in to order our take out order. My husband said he enjoyed his meal and I loved the shrimp in my salad. The guacamole was delicious. The was nice to receive chips and salsa with the meals too. I’d go back again.

Great atmosphere and the best mexican food I’ve had across the whole North American continent! This specific location is located in Kelso WA, just on the other side of the river. If you love mexican food this place is the place to eat at, hands down! This specific location is also the only location that hands out one complimentary Sopapillas Ice Cream dessert for each customer for each meal purchased. I don’t know of any other Mexican food restaurant that does that and there enchiladas are to die for!

Maybe I just picked the wrong dish but my Chicken En Mole tasted like chicken satee, so with sweet peanut sauce. Never seen this in Mexican cuisine but maybe it’s just me. The appetizers and complimentary desert were fantastic though.

Out of all the Mexican eating options, you can pass on this one. Someone smoking inside. Service… minimal. Food was edible at best. Go try El Ranchero on Oregon Way.
