Stopped for lunch. We were warned that the cook had just left but would be right back. We decided to wait as we still had others joining us that had not arrived yet. We all got ordered and half hour later we started asking when the cook was coming. Waitress attempted to call and got no answer. Felt bad for her as the place was starting to get busy. We decided to leave, along with two other tables. That’s all business lost. One positive was while very understandably frustrated the waitress was very nice. We still left a tip as it wasn’t her fault and losing tables hurts her wages as well. From what it looked like there was also a prospective job interview waiting on the cook. I understand emergencies happen if that was the case but it didn’t sound that way. Either way, being the sole cook at a restaurant and leaving with no communication isn’t acceptable.

The food is always delicious and the service is pretty great too. Sometimes the POS system is down, but they do offer an ATM. The owner aims to please and it’s just another reason we keep coming back! They now offer Fish Fry Fridays and seems to be quite popular. We come from about 30 minutes away and the views don’t disappoint.

We heard that this was a great choice for breakfast when in the area, so we checked the hours on Facebook, their website and even called the restaurant phone number. EVERY one said that they were open on that day and early in the morning (7/6). Not true. Okay, so we tried again 4 days later. Still not open, still no updates. No a good way to do business, small town or not
