On the way home from Asheville and needed breakfast. Stumbled upon this place and it was perfect. Great options, food was terrific, atmosphere is cozy, and the service was great!!!! 10/10 recommend.

What a great find! Super friendly staff and amazing food. I had a grits & egg bowl and they were cooked perfectly. My husband had the Swannanoa Homefries and it was amazing! Both dishes are highly recommended. The restaurant is charming. We were there the end of February and it is still decorated like Christmas. And beautifully done. They’re still working on recovering from Hurricane Helene, but we are so happy that they are able to be open. We will make a point of stopping here again next time we are in the area.

Met a friend here for breakfast. Its March, why are there Christmas decorations everywhere? The atmosphere is rather depressing. There were kids running in and out of the kitchen, not sure if they belonged to employees or customers. The waitress was great. Food has gone downhill from the last time I was there. Gravy is very watery and is consistent with a cheap pack from the grocery store. Sweet tea is great. Not sure I will give this place another try.

Excellent service and delicious, homey food. Theresa was wonderful and took very good care of us. The biscuits, croissants, and hash browns are wonderful! Absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a great breakfast or lunch!

Swannanoa’s little hidden gem. This is the place that little old people meet for breakfast. It’s not fancy, food is served on paper plates and you eat it with plasticware but the prices are cheap, staff are friendly and the food is good.

I was told about this restaurant by house at Asheville Harley-Davidson. The waitress was extremely nice, knowledgeable and friendly. It was my first time going in there but I will definitely be going back. She also gave me a tip on a motel just right down the road. She made me feel just like family.

I ordered no egg on my tenderloin sandwich but they put one on it anyway and the meat was so tough I couldn’t hardly bite it. My home fries was really greasy. The waitress was really nice though.

So we all wanted a down-home, quaint ltttle cafe with delicious, hearty food, and wow, did we hit the jackpot with The Breakfast Shoppe! Theresa was out server, and she was all southern charm and kindness from the moment we walked in. Our table was loaded with platters of farmhouse breakfast favorites, from grits, hash browns and eggs, to biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon and pancakes. Yhe perfect little surprise on our travels through the mountains!!
