Delicious and experience, definitely worth going in a group so you can try a few different cuts of meat. We tried the spicy miso and pork bone broth with a perfect mix of flavor and spicy.
I personally love being able to try small portions of a lot of different things, so this was perfect. Wygu beef, aged Angus and short rib – delicious

My husband and I used to come here all the time when we lived in the area, we moved away then came to visit family this week. We came to eat at this restaurant today, ordered 3 of their large portions of meat, and part way through my meal I noticed something sharp in my mouth while chewing. It was a chunk of steel wool. Luckily I took it out of my mouth before swallowing or i would have had to go to the emergency room. We showed the server, she took it and apologized, and gave us the “employee discount” on our meal which ended up being a whole $12 off… the total bill was $176 after we tipped about $30, since I work in the service industry and understand they survive on tips, i wasn’t going to stiff her just because I was angry, but 10 percent off for almost swallowing a piece of steel wool is infuriating. I may be confused about the rules of steel wool in food service, but I thought it wasn’t even allowed because of contamination risk, like what happened to me today, and because it holds bacteria, and can’t be properly cleaned out. Very disappointed, will not be coming back.

They are understaffed. You are definitely not getting the amount of meat you pay for. I paid for 6 oz ribeye and I could never be hungry after that, I know for a fact they gave me like 3-4 oz. They give you two pieces of broccoli, a carrot shaving, a thin slice of sweet potato, an onion, and like a quarter cup of noodles and rice. Very very small portions and overpriced. I couldn’t believe how much we paid for what we got. Ridiculous.

This place is in a mall that is lifeless. It is also hard to find due to it being in the back of a gentrified marketplace that will forsure be gone in the future. The service was not good. It was 2 servers for a small resturant which does make sense if they were competent and attentive. The food was very mid, and the only good thing was the 2 slices of high quality meat you are given for $40. Literally for sides they give 2 broccoli, one carrot slice, 1 onion slice, 2 sweet potatoes slices, and 2 sauces to choose from. I have been to way better shabu shabu for a quarter of the price and a million times better quality as well as actually being full at the end of a meal. PLEASE DON’T GO HERE, IT IS A SCAM. GO TO IRVINE INSTEAD!!!

Food and service were both top notch! We were impressed. Just wish there was more life in that Kaleidoscope area, the entire food court was depressingly void of customers and we could just feel the shop owners’ misery. Slice at least had some customers, the others had none.

I had Prime ribeye with spicy miso broth. Next time will order half spicy miso and half regular, as it was more spicy than I can usually handle. They kindly added more regular non-spicy broth to tone it down.

Soup is delicious and generous refills for both veggies and rice, especially awesome service which makes me definitely will come back!
I love my short ribs & sashimi salmon combi too! Very fresh

Only cons is if the KOMO sauce can be less salty would be perfect

Loved it! First time here, the waitress helped me narrow down the menu options and helped explain the cooking process. You choose your meat, broth, sauces, and noodles, then you cook it all yourself on a stove. So flavorful, really delicious, and healthy. They also offer lunch specials. I would definitely come back!

Bland broth not very flavorful at all. Understaffed so the waiters are running around cleaning tables and doing everything except for being waiters. I felt bad that they had no time to do everything. I wish I didn’t have such a bad experience. Very nice and helpful staff though.
