We recently visited Shahi Pakwan as a group of girls along with kids. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming. Even though it was close to closing time, they allowed us in and served everything we asked for without any hesitation, which we truly appreciated.
Some items were decent. The samosa chaat was good, the naan was fresh, and the chutney tasted nice.Chicken tikka boti were okay, nothing exceptional but acceptable.
However, the overall taste of the food was disappointing. The cocktails were simply Sprite (7Up) mixed with mint and lemon, which felt misleading. The korma did not taste like korma at all, and the biryani was very poor in both taste and gravy. The seekh kebab also did not feel authentic; it resembled sausages and lacked the usual texture and flavor.
While the hospitality was good, food quality matters the most when dining out. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we were not satisfied overall. Kindness is appreciated, but we visit restaurants for good food, and that part did not meet expectations.

I recently dined at SHAHI PAKWAN in Strasbourg, and it was a delightful experience! The flavors of the dishes were authentic and vibrant, especially the butter chicken and lamb biryani. The staff was kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere added to the charm, and the window view made us feel as if we were in a film. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine.

if you want appreciate the food you should be someone who likes spicy food ( with spices non only “hot” es. garlic, paprika, masala etc.)
so if. you don’t like spicy food or you are not used ti eat it you wont understand the value of this food!

So I’m north Indian and I visited here a few days ago and realised how it was a mistake having trusted the 4.8 rating.
The food presentation was good but the taste wasn’t even remotely close to the authentic Indian taste. It wasn’t bad as in it could be eaten but it is definitely not Indian food. It just didn’t fulfil ‘Indian food expectations’ at all. The gulab jamun in dessert tasted excessively of coconut which made no sense to me.
The staff was very polite and service was good too. The restaurant is clean and has good ambience (except for the music).
I was okay initially with the overall experience but later after having food at a few other Indian restaurants here I realised it was a mistake to have paid 32 euros for what wasn’t even remotely close to Indian flavours. There are many other restaurants which offer the same food variety, same quantity but a much better taste for much lesser prices not more than 25 euros in total.
The two stars I’m giving are for the polite staff, cleanliness, decor and food presentation. But I wouldn’t recommend mainly because of the food taste and the excessively high prices.

Absolutely delicious food and highly recommended! We made a spontaneous decision to dine here and our instincts were spot on. The service was good, and the starter was great. Overall, the food was very good, though a bit less spicy than expected. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here by trying four different appetizers, four different main courses, and some Naan bread. Everything was delicious! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We’re looking forward to our next dinner here. I highly recommend trying their dhai bhalla papadi chaat & Mango Lassi. These dishes showcased the chef’s skill in blending spices, with no unnecessary spices or oil. Real authentic Indian food, though the prices are on the higher end.

The Prix Fixe menu options are a great way to experience different selections, and are a good value. I highly enjoyed my experience and will definitely return next time I’m in Strasbourg.
