Sky, our server for the evening, was phenomenal. You literally get the best of all worlds walking into this place! Great food, attentive service and the ambiance is out of this world. Black owned business heading in the right direction!! This was my first time here since I was visiting from Philly, but will definitely be back to try more empanadas! The name of the restaurant speaks volumes. Thank you Empanada Lady ❤️

Took the opportunity to come for brunch and am far from disappointed! Party of three and we got beef, pork, turkey, salmon, shrimp, and veggie empanadas, along with the blueberry and hibiscus mimosas. Everything was excellent and SO flavorful, served with a delicious ‘nada sauce that had just the right level of spice and kick. The mimosas were delicious and worth going back for. Also, family friendly – the baby loved all of it! Highly recommend, do NOT skip this place, even beyond Restaurant Week!

Fun place! Their cocktails are the best thing about the establishment. Loved the friend catfish and tostones I got for restaurant week. The white rice with red beans could of used a bit more seasonings for me but overall still tasty. Our server Taylor was lovely and attentive. She lowered the music since we were sitting right underneath a speaker. Definitely will be coming back with friends!

We were so excited to go to Empanada Lady for brunch. Unfortunately we were disappointed in the service and the food.

Service: We were seated quickly, but that was the only thing that was quick. No one came to our table for a while. There seemed to be only two servers for brunch and one was manning the bar and taking orders at the same time so it took a while for someone to acknowledge our table. Our servers was extremely nice but he seemed overwhelmed.

Food: We both got the espresso martini flights anticipating to get a full glass. Instead the little glasses were half filled with the martini mixture and half with whipped cream. $25 pp for half filled cups fills like a rip off. The empanadas were HUGE, but they only had meat in them. In the description it states that the “ALL EMPANADAS INCLUDE CHEESE AND
OUR AUTHENTIC FILLING SAUTÉED IN
PEPPERS, ONIONS, GARLIC & CILANTRO.” We ordered six empanadas and only one had cheese included. The others were just meat. We also got the chips and salsa and the lemon rice. The salsa was Tostinos (you could tell by the taste and the presentation) and the lemon rice was bland.

Overall, for the amount of money we spent, we expected a lot more. We probably won’t be back.

Took my Mom out for a late lunch yesterday 12-18-2025 around 3:00pm. We arrived in the restaurant and there’s only one man at the bar the restaurant was empty and quiet , we were told to sit anywhere near the window due to them setting up for a party… okay cool.. Mom and I sit down scan the menu, the waiter came took our drink orders, explained the menu since we were new customers. Since we came with an appetite we were ready and very excited to try the empanadas.

We ordered the combo platter that comes with 6 different empanadas a choice of 2 sides and 2 cupcakes for dessert..for $60.99 I got a Modelo Mom got a Coke.. Somehow the bill ended up being $90+

Anyway the waiter brought our chips and salsa out first then the nadas and our second side of plantains. The chips and salsa were fair.. we were expecting more of a tortilla style of chip though and the salsa had a marinara sauce taste. The empanadas were delicious but could have been fried slightly less they were fried very hard.

My problem was mainly about how we were treated our server never came back to ask how the food was ask if we needed refills or anything. When he finally came back he said he was preoccupied with setting up that event, so he knew he wasn’t attentive to us, when I asked for the boxes and check the seemed to struggle with proving everything all at once which left me so get up go to the bar to get the physical check, that’s when I realized we didn’t get the cupcakes we were looking forward to.. waiter said he gave us two slices of cake for the troubles but I told him we didn’t want the cake we preferred the cupcakes to which he said the cake was better but it wasn’t it was coconut (we both don’t like that flavor) Waiter asked if we would be returning I told him likely it due to lack of interest the restaurant seemed to have in us dining in.

***I will come back to update this post later to recheck my receipt because I’m not understanding that price of the final bill..

What a great gem in the heart of the city. Thoroughly enjoyed my food, atmosphere, and service. Taylor was a great bartender. She was friendly and had a great knowledge of the drinks. The food was filling and delicious. I visited on a Thursday night and parking was pretty easy. This is definitely a great place with a chill vibe. I highly recommend the salmon, pork and chicken empanadas. Also a great place to purchase art from local artists.

The vibes is fun and enjoyable.. there was a great DJ. I believe the owner was there but she did not smile sometimes a friendly smile goes a long way. We’re not from Baltimore so I’m not sure if people are not just friendly. The salmon was delicious but my open nada shell was harddd, rice and bean not what I expected. The pork was season and flavorful.

Very cozy spot near Inner Harbor. Had a fantastic meal here – excellent empanadas and sides. Service was excellent despite being busy; the bartender was very friendly, accommodating, and patient with us while we ordered. The cocktails were great. The platter for one person is HUGE, definitely hits the spot if you are super hungry. Standout sides were the tostones and street corn. The salmon, chicken, and beef empanadas are fantastic. The apple empanada was delicious as a “dessert” empanada.
