Absolutely TERRIBLE Experience!

My girlfriend and I had dinner reservations for my birthday and Valentine’s Day at 8:45pm and we didn’t get seated until an hour later. We ordered the Chef’s menu expecting a top notch culinary experience for over $115 / person (not including drinks)… we were sorely disappointed. The “mood lighting” lamp died in the beginning of our dinner experience and was never replaced. The food in the four course menu came out Luke-warm. We didn’t finish our dinner til 11:11 pm, that was even after speed eating because we were hungry eating cold food. We would’ve been better off ordering a pizza to our hotel room. Total disappointment, 1/10, would NOT recommend.

Cordova Chop House & Grill offers a polished, dependable dining experience in a great setting.

The black garlic Caesar was balanced and flavorful, and the Parker House rolls were a standout—warm and perfectly done. The salmon was cooked well but played it safe, while the lobster roll was generous and tasty, though not especially memorable for the price.

Overall, a solid choice for an upscale meal in St. Augustine, even if it doesn’t quite surprise. Grabbing a drink at the bar is also a great choice!

We stopped by here in the afternoon in between other stops. We’re pleasantly surprised at the delightful and beautiful looking atmosphere with architecture and decorative attributes. The bartender was top notch and we chatted about whiskeys, bourbons, and various cocktails. Not many restaurants have a smoker on hand for an old fashioned but these guys did. I challenged him to try a few different concoctions and all were excellent. We got some starter snacks (appetizers) to hold us over and they were prompt and tasty.

We attended brunch here and were a bit confused about the menu worked. It would have been nice if the server explained it ahead of time. We also had vegan and vegetarian people in our group and there wasn’t any vegan options on the menu but they did make something for us. It would have been nice to have more options but we do appreciate them working with us.

Just returned from a spectacular dinner from the chef and staff at Cordova! From the beginning to the end of the evening was remarkable! Warm welcome and a fond farewell from the Host staff, manager and team. Our server Isabella was exceptional, thank you!!
This was a fun and enjoyable evening thanks to her careful exploration and descriptions of the menu, wine, and the Chef creations.
So many simple and important details were not missed and the food was outstanding prepared.
Natalie the F&B manager checked on us several times and was delightful talk with. Once again Thank you to Isabella and the wait staff, Chef and his team for a memorable birthday celebration!
Well done! I look forward to returning!

Cool, clubby – upscale but not too swanky — spot for a nightcap and some conversation. I hung out in the dimly lit bar which is surrounded by a lounge area with a few high tops and comfy low chairs. Great service good food and a chill vibe. Spendy though.

I honestly don’t understand how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. I visited this past weekend with my husband and teenage son, and we had brunch—we couldn’t have enjoyed it more! The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and the place itself was just breathtaking. Add in the live music … it’s simply a must if you’re visiting St. Augustine. And the desserts … unforgettable!

Amazing lunch, Yogi our host and Widi our server, were both so welcoming and friendly. Widi made us a special anniversary dessert that was delicious and beautiful. This is a special place that deserves a visit from anyone visiting St. Augustine!

Our experience at Córdoba started off on a less-than-ideal note — the hostess was noticeably unfriendly and seemed rather irritated, which set a poor tone at the beginning. Things didn’t improve immediately, as the wine we selected wasn’t available, and the server initially told us he didn’t have access to the storage area. When our second choice was also unavailable, the situation could have gone downhill.

However, our server, Chris Lopes, completely turned things around. He graciously offered us a complimentary bottle of a different wine as an apology, and he showed great initiative when we requested drinks not listed on the menu. Throughout the rest of our time there, Chris was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely focused on ensuring we had a great experience. His attitude toward both his work and the guests was truly outstanding.

The ambiance is stylish and well thought out — from the décor to the tableware, everything felt refined. We enjoyed the wedge salad, fried oysters, and lobster roll, all of which were well-prepared and nicely presented.

That said, the menu felt a bit limited in variety, though the pricing was fair for the quality offered.

Thanks to Chris, what began as a disappointing visit became a very enjoyable day.

This restaurant is beautiful from the front to the back room. There’s several spaces that you can sit at depending on what vibe you’re going for. Since I spent a week here I got to experience all of those spaces and get to know their staff a bit. The front bar area has some high tops that’s first come first serve and a handful of bar seats. Molly, Rona and Curtis took great care of me. They have good Happy hour and daily specials and had some great craft cocktail options.
The weekend here was very lively, they had a pianist Friday and Saturday that played beautiful music, from classical to throwbacks and rock. I found out they also have a showing of a local magician on Friday nights which was super cool.

When I would eat in the dining room I was able to try things from their small bites and dinner menu.
I really enjoyed their version of Caesar salad as well as the grilled pork and octopus. The tomato jam was so delicious! The branzino tasted fresh and light and the tomatoes on top gave it a nice touch. I wanted to shout out to the different servers that took care of me while I was away from home for a week.
Thank you Heather, Izabella, Michael, Christina and Connor for making me feel welcome and serving me a good meal each night. Also to Lasandra and John for my last breakfast before heading out.
