Soam near Babulnath Chowpatty is a lovely place to enjoy authentic, homely Gujarati food in a calm and welcoming setting. I visited on a weekday and had a wonderful, relaxed experience without any rush.

We tried the Undhiyu, Jowar Roti, Puri, and Mango Lassi, and everything tasted fresh, balanced, and full of traditional flavours. The meal ended perfectly with a delicious Kulfi.

The service was warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made the visit even more enjoyable. A great spot for anyone who appreciates simple, soulful Indian vegetarian food.

Went here on a weekday afternoon and the place was packed. I had to wait 30 mins to get a table for 2. The staff was polite and courteous. We tried the pankhi which was served steaming hot. It was soft and delicious but the quantity is less for the price. Next up we tried the farsan platter which had a few pieces of the palak samosa, dhokla and pattice. All them were so tasty and fresh. We also decided to try the Jowar pita pocket which was good but could do with less mayo. Overall it’s good to try the gujarati dishes, though it is on the pricey side.

I think this is the best food I have tasted in a while ! The atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant was clean and the dishes were their highlight. We had Puran Poli with Kadi the tastiest I had in years, and Methi Thepla with laal batata nu shak. The server was friendly and helpful.

Food is good and freshly made, no doubt about that. Taste is nice and feels authentic, but honestly the price is toooo high compared to the quantity . Most dishes are around 400 per person and the portion is very less, only enough for one person. Feels a bit over hyped when you look at the quantity vs price.

That said, they do serve really good quality **authentic Gujarati food**. It’s a pure veg place with items like khichdi, ras puri, shrikhand, dal dhokli, bajra no rotlo, handvo, pooran poli, chaat and many more. They also have Jain food and fasting food during upvas, which is a plus. Taste is good, just wish the quantity was better for the price.

Loved the food at soam! So fresh, authentic and delicious. The service was top notch and the taste was on point. Not too oily or greasy. Perfectly balanced dishes and nothing unnecessary in the name of presentation. Loved everything we ate.

Valet parking is available. It’s a pure Veg restaurant and being a prolific meat eater I was reluctant to visit to begin with. However, when I stepped out of the restaurant I had eaten to my hearts content and was super happy. Thus, I think it’s worth everyone to visit and try out. The food was very different to the ones we are accustomed eating

I actually started with dessert and ordered a special of the day which was served on a milk base.

Then I ordered the Oondhiya. Normally it’s served with puri , but I requested only the sabzi and i relished it completely. I would surely recommend to try it.

We also had Gatte ka sabzi and Satpadi which was quite nice as well. It was served on dried loaves that was placed over plates. Innovative way to keep the plates cleaner and easy to wash.

I guess a visiting once again to try out a few more dishes in the future

The mutter paratha with aloo-dahi sabzi was comfort food done well, balanced and not oily. The mutter pattice had a crisp exterior with a fresh filling, and the panki was soft and fragrant as expected. The guava drink added a refreshing, mildly sweet finish.

Had a lovely experience at Soam! Tried their sev puri, pani puri, and dahi papdi chaat — all were fresh, tasty, and hygienic (though slightly on the expensive side).

For mains, we had the palak paneer paratha and undhiyo puri — our first undhiyo of the season, and it did not disappoint! The moong kicchu was the highlight — comforting and full of flavor.

The food was so tempting that we couldn’t even click pictures! Ended the meal with their fresh sugarcane juice (sugarcane for dessert!) — a perfect, refreshing finish. Overall, great food quality, clean ambience, and a satisfying experience. Definitely worth visiting again!

Nice Food, but simple atmosphere. The person taking order could be more interested in explaining the item….

Had the best food during my week long trip in Mumbai. Everything that was ordered was amazing. The staff is really helpful and polite. The prices are a bit inconsistent but still good. The restaurant is also decently clean
