Great service from the staff. This is a cool restaurant. I love the atmosphere and the music. It’s a great vibe !! The artwork inside is amazing. If you like to play video games they have a great selection. I was very disappointed to hear they didn’t have Brussels Sprouts!! The menu has something for everyone. The food came out nice and hot !! My boyfriend and I decided to check out Agave & Rye in Grandview for the first time today during early lunch hours, and it was such a cool experience! The first thing you notice when you walk in is the incredible atmosphere and vibe. The walls facing the street have massive floor-to-ceiling windows that let in great views, while the rest of the space is completely covered in interesting artwork, paintings, and statues. I really appreciate that the lighting was soft and made the whole place feel very welcoming and calming. In the center room, they have several retro arcade games (at least a few were operating and allowed free play, but I didn’t check them all!) that give the space a fun, nostalgic vibe, along with some really cool, individual booths that feel nice and private in that room too.
We started things off with a pitcher of their Mandarin cream margaritas, and I honestly can’t recommend them enough!! We’ve never had a drink quite like it—it was incredibly fresh and delicious. For our appetizer, we kicked things off with the chips and queso, which was a great choice and portion size. When it came to the main course, I kept it simple with some beef tacos (that were extremely flavorful!), but my boyfriend went for the more adventurous options. He chose an alligator taco and one called the “The Gangsta.” Even with the unique proteins like alligator (and they even have kangaroo!), everything exceeded our expectations. Whether you want fancy Mexican flavors or more traditional American-style sides, there is plenty to choose from as well as a variety of drinks and mocktails. It’s a great local spot if you’re looking for a bold menu and a visually stunning place to relax with pleasant, friendly staff that goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable!

Their birra tacos are so good!!! I was so full after just 1 1/2 so I definitely didn’t need the whole trio. All the other tacos on the menu are fun and unique too! Not cheap but not too expensive. The vibes in the restaurant are strange, but the food is worth going for and the people who work there are nice.

My husband stopped in to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We had the best time and our server Tajah was absolutely delightful. She went above and beyond to make our dinner and celebration so special. The taco combinations were perfect and we both did the taco flights. I had the Hot and. Juicy margarita and my husband had the Peach Bourbon cocktail. We shared the mango Pico and chips, it was so good but along with tacos we probably should’ve skipped it. The inside was so nice, we were seated by the arcade games so it was a tad loud but it was manageable. We will definitely be back to try more taco combinations. I highly recommend!

Amazing place!!!! Loved the inside environment and if it wasn’t so hot during the summer we would have sat outside. Food was amazing, get the elote corn. Drinks were great, we split a pitcher and they were yummy. Service was wonderful and absolutely coming back!!

Tried this as a recommendation from a friend and it was amazing! The food was so flavorful and filling. The OG margarita was delicious and top shelf! The quirky decor at the Grandview location is so cool it’s worth the experience even if you go just one time to check it out. Our server was attentive and we had a good dining experience. However, contrary to some other reviews, it’s not for the value conscious consumer. This is the first time we’ve paid nearly $100 for tacos and a couple of drinks. The taco options are creatively concocted and named, making it difficult to choose. For this reason, you might as well go for a flight. All of the options we tried were pretty good, but I’d stop short of saying there are any standouts. The ingredients seemed high quality. Overall we recommend.

The food was great, the staff was very friendly. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and our server offered us the free dessert they do for birthdays. We left our to-go box on the table when we left, so I stopped back in to see if it was still there. They threw the box out when they cleaned our table, but the host immediately offered to go back and make us a fresh meal. He absolutely did not have to do that. The whole staff went above and beyond and we really appreciated that.
