By FAR the best authentic Mexican food you can get in Hockessin and Delaware in general! I’ve been to A LOT of different Mexican restaurants and taco trucks between here, Maryland and Pennsylvania and Tasty Tacos is the most consistent and delicious tacos you can get anywhere around here! They’re also an extremely friendly, family owned restaurant.
If you’re in the area and you like Mexican food you have to give them a shot, you won’t regret it!!

Tasty Taco & More? More like “Bland Food Galore”. It is rare that a meal could make us this sad and entice us to write a review, but the lack of flavor was criminal. Portions were on the smaller side for the price. The texture of the rice was old and soggy. The beans looked like they got dumped out of a can.

First time here, but I’ll definitely be back again. Everything was delicious and the tortillas are handmade; you can tell as soon as you take your first bite. The aguas frescas were yummy, and my husband really enjoyed the horchata! Staff were also very nice. It’s a small family biz and they seem to be figuring things out so I agree with a different review where it’s best to have some patience/understanding with them. Hopefully they’re able to get more business.

After visiting Tasty Taco a few times, I can easily say this little cafe has some of the best Mexican food in Delaware. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is no-frills, and the food represents outstanding and authentic Mexican flavors and preparations. Try the Chilaquiles Verdes!

This is my second visit. Atmosphere is simple, but food and service are amazing. Ms. Carmen makes you feel at home and cooks like my mamá. If she has the ingredients, she lets you create something off the menu. I had chilaquiles with chorizo and nopal, perfection. The tortillas are freshly handmade. My husband enjoyed his menudo soup and two tacos. My girls ate all their ham omelette and beans. I am repeating this: delicious freshly made tortillas!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic, form the delicious food, to the amazing atmosphere, this restaurant delivers an authentic taste that is lacking at other restaurants. This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area and I will be back for more of their delicious tacos and so much more.

My family and I stumbled upon Tasty Tacos and More after visiting the railroad, and we’re so glad we did! We had a quesadilla and a burrito—both were absolutely delicious and clearly authentic. Everything is made to order, and the flavors were incredible. A true hidden gem for great Mexican food!

Great place for authentic Mexican takeout. The owner makes each meal fresh to order…so call in advance or be cool waiting 20 minutes or so for your food. Friendly service and delicious food every time we visit. We love this little place!
