This visit likely ended a 60 year love of kfc. I got the two piece original meal deal for $12 out the door and the combined volume of meat on the leg and thigh wouldn’t feed a small kitten. On top of that it was so dry it could have been left over from yesterday. No wonder there was no line. The gentleman manning the window was very pleasant but niceness can’t overcome garbage food.

KFC -New Lenox is a joke.

This is not the first time we have had problems with the New Lenox KFC.
We were looking forward to our KFC chicken sandwiches while we took a break to have our meal. We ordered on the KFC app and went to the store. Once again, the doors were locked so you can’t eat inside. What is the point of having seating in your restaurant if the doors are always locked? Why don’t you just put up a big sign that says drive-thru only? Going to delete the app. Keep your doors locked. One less thing for you to do when you close for good. Plenty of other food options in New Lenox.

Better idea…..Just drive down the road and go to Popeyes. You can actually go in and sit down and enjoy your meal. You can get a drink refill and the sandwich is better.

The food is so good here, you would think it was the original Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant. Make this a not-to-be-missed stop any time you find yourself on I-80 near Illinois State Route 30. You won’t regret it.

I placed a paid DoorDash delivery order (about $178) that was confirmed by the restaurant but was never delivered.

After the delivery never arrived, I contacted the restaurant and received text messages stating:
• that someone had already picked up my order,
• followed by messages saying they didn’t understand what I was talking about,
• and finally that they would not remake the order because it would “disrupt their schedule.”

This is completely unacceptable.
My guests did not receive any food, and I was forced to place an emergency order from another restaurant to handle the situation.

Only after a long and exhausting series of phone calls did I finally receive an email confirming a full refund. The refund was issued, but only after significant stress, wasted time, and inconvenience.

The fact that a restaurant would tell a paying customer they refuse to remake an order because it would “disrupt their schedule” says everything about their customer service.

Original Recipe Chicken was very greasy tonight. I use to work at KFC 30 years ago and I know that this happens when either the chicken has immediately come out of the pressure fryer and not allowed to drain for 10 to 15 minutes or that due to demand the pressure cooker was not allowed to get back to full temp before starting the cooking cycle. The wings were ok but they drain the quickest. The legs, thighs, and breast’s were soggy and the bottom of the bucket was full of shortening.
My order was suppose to have a large fry which I caught before leaving the parking lot after picking my order up in the DT. I went inside and to my surprise the manager was on her cell phone on a personal call the entire time they were cooking my fries. She was working on packing orders but perhaps that is why I didn’t get my fries the first time because she was distracted with her personal call on her cellphone? I don’t think a manager should be doing that because you can’t direct your employees. The employees were newer but they were extremely nice and polite and took care of my issue. I will go back as this has always been my go to KFC especially when they had the buffet back in the day before Covid. The tenders in my meal were excellent, as well as the fries and coleslaw. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good. The biscuits were soft and fresh and tasted excellent.

Waited 1 hour for fresh chicken , my first order was old stale and chewy , so they told me to wait 40 min for fresh 6 bbq wings, I am past 1 hour waiting ,I see why they have no customers. Whole bunch of kids playing with food with no care

This was a number 2 meal. I am sickened with how awful this place has turned out. KFC use to be my go to cheat day for the month. Not anymore. What is all this brown/black in the chicken!? It’s not burnt or anything. Just slimy black brown gunk!
Our drinks were handed that were on the counter also for god knows how long. Watered down and everything. Only good part are the mashed potatoes. But given the chicken, I am scared to eat that too.

We ordered online. Understanding they were short handed, had to wait in the drive through for the order. They shorted us an 8 piece bucket. No answer on the phone, the app has no agents to help. They shorted us for over 20 dollars of food and can’t even answer on the app or the phone. Don’t go here. Bad deal all around

Ordered food via door dash. Our door dash driver decided they needed half of our order more than we did and got a free dinner. Called and Gabby made it right even though it wasn’t their fault! Above and beyond customer service!!!
