Service was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and genuine. The wine was a great deal at $40 a bottle. The appetizer offered excellent value, especially with the freshly fried bread served warm for dipping.
The main course had great flavour and was well-cooked all around; however, the portion of meat felt a bit small. I would have gladly paid more for a larger serving or a double-meat option.
For dessert, we asked our server to surprise us — and she definitely delivered, bringing what she called their “two best desserts.” It was a perfect way to end the meal.

Incredible! That’s the first word that came to mind after my most recent experience at this restaurant. There was a group of 6 of us who came for dinner this past Friday night. We had appetizers, main courses, drinks, and dessert. Bruschetta was absolutely perfect. The balsamic glaze was just the right amount. I’ve had many bruschettas in my time…and THIS WAS THE BEST I’VE HAD! I hope tit seats on the menu! Also, the portion of calamari was HUGE! I ordered the Braised Beef Shirt Rib. Holy. Cow. Deee-licious! The garlic mashed potatoes and roasted veggies (carrots and parsnips) were excellent. My Aunt gave me a sample of her BBQ ribs. No words… the meat just fell off the bones. The others in my group ordered Fish and Chips and the Bison Smash Burger and said that they were also very tasty.
Thank goodness the Guest of Honour in my group thought ahead and reserved a WHOLE SKOR CHEESECAKE for dessert. Unbelievable. I’m not sure who baked this dessert…but please let them know that the taste was beyond belief. To top off the great experience, the entire restaurant sang Happy Birthday to my Aunt, including the acapella group of 10 men sitting beside us! Such a wonderful experience. And if you’re worried about the cost – definitely worth every bite!! Even though I don’t know her name, our Server was extremely attentive the whole night…always busy and gliding here and there across the floor, attending to the patrons. I really appreciated that she filled our water glasses throughout the night without ever having to ask. Thank you again, for a great dining experience!

Beautiful sunny spot to snowmobile to for lunch or dinner as a destination. We made it a tradition to do it every winter and I’m glad they are still there! On a lake, as part of the Edgewater Lodge in Kearney, ON, with beautiful scenery all seasons!

This was a great place to visit for food, beverage and live music on a Thursday night. Food was decent and the service was fantastic. A bunch of us ATV riders frequent this establishment for breakfast before the trails and sometimes supper after.

Out for a Sunday drive and we stopped in for lunch. Fast, friendly, and efficient with a great view of Sand Lake. The menu has a good variety and for two of us the bill was $65. That includes one drink and tax.

We love many of the menu items at the Red Canoe, and especially enjoy Wednesday wing night. However, perhaps we will switch to Thursday night. Last night, the music of Sean Cotton was great!

Scenic restaurant at Edgewater Resort. Clean, well decorated, very enjoyable. The Philly steak was good, the soup was great and the service was excellent. We were over charged from the menu prices but wrote it off to our inexperience. We would highly recommend this place although it was a little pricey.
