I will start off by saying that the food was good. I feel that the transparency of the menu was very misleading. The menu said the entree came with two sides so we order two sides, but when the bill came they said it no longer comes with two sides. Update your menu. It left a bad impression with misleading cost for my first visit. I wouldn’t have order two sides if I knew that it was an additional cost. I spent 18 dollars on sides since I got 3 meals thinking that it came with two sides because the menu said it does. The ground needed to be swept it was dirty. We ended up requesting a different table due to crumbs and trash being on the floor under the table and behind it. My waiter was not very attentive. I got my own refill and to go boxes. He didn’t really check on us and we eventually mentioned it him. He was sweet but not attentive and we were the only table at the time. I would suggest talking to staff and updating your menu to reflect your current change. These are easy fixes.

I happen to find this place while ordering a whole chocolate cake on door dash for a birthday. I wished I could remember the lady’s name who so nice and kind called and they only had slices. She offered to refund and cancel order as they needed a day advance notice. However, I got back on door dash and ordered some friend chicken with mashed potatoes and butter cabbage. Some of the best fried chicken and the vegetables were seasoned so good. Loved it so much that today myself and coworkers went back for lunch. I had the smothered pork chop with butter cabbage. The pork chop was amazing and the flavors were stop on. The cabbage ordered twice in one week so that should tell you. Coworkers had catfish and burger and both said some of the best they had. I have found a place that I will be eating at once a week.

I was promptly greeted as soon as I walked in the door. My server Mi’Auri did an excellent and gave great recommendations. I ordered the double smothered pork chops over rice with cabbage and macaroni & cheese. The food came out hot, fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend this establishment! I’ll be back!

The smothered pork chop over real mashed potatoes was tender and packed with flavor, with gravy that tasted homemade. The green beans were seasoned to perfection, mac and cheese was creamy and clearly made from scratch, and the jalapeño cornbread had just the right kick. On top of the amazing food, the employees were so friendly and attentive—genuinely welcoming and made sure everything was just right. It felt like being treated like family. A must-visit if you’re craving real comfort food with great service!

The food was literally so good, especially that lemon pepper salmon, buttered cabbage, and the candied yams. Those yams are heaven-sent. And their sweet tea?!?! Literally fire. I loved it here and id definitely eat here again, prices are like $10 – $20, I highly recommend for anyone and especially with the economic blackouts that are about to take place, this is a great black owned business to spend your hard earned money at.

I felt comfortable at this restaurant and the food was very good! The owner came out and was very pleasant and asked if everything was okay! I told her yes! and that her fried chicken was just right,! Just the right amount of seasoning without being SALTY!! The sides were good too! It’s been a few years now…. but I would definitely return! ❤️

I got the famous fried chicken, greens, and mac and cheese. I’d come back just to see the amazing team serving up this magic! But the food…..its such good soul food! That mac and cheese is something else. Try it! You won’t regret it. The chicken was perfection and the greens were on point. They loved on us, treated us like family and served us a smoking hot delicious meal.
