Stopped at the food truck, and got bbq sandwiches, baked beans, and coleslaw. Exceptional flavor! No sauce needed but the sweet sauce made it extra good. Washed it all done with some good sweet tea! Customer service was great as well. Highly recommend stopping here!

From the outside this place doesn’t seem that interesting but once you get inside it’s really great! From the food to the service to the vibe – everything is great.
We had the sampler option and added some sides. All the meats were excellent to me.
I really like brisket and have a high expectation for it at any BBQ restaurant. The brisket here was the least impressive of all their meats to me.
I don’t usually have high expectations for pulled pork or smoked chicken, but I was actually very impressed by the pulled pork and smoked chicken here.
The ribs were delicious too (I tend to have a high standard for them as well).
The sides of okra and baked beans were good too.
The fried pickle appetizer was addictive. So delicious.
Last but not least our server was super nice and attentive.

We are from lower state SC and the baroque, hash is different than what we are use to. The food was good if you like vinegar based BBQ. The service was A+++ . Couldn’t asking for a better server. I believe her name was Channing. If she reads this .. we did survive our lake Jocassee camping trip.. The atmosphere is also nice. This is in a small town so people stearing at you is normal. They know when your not from around there. .. We would stop again if we were ever in the area.

This is one of those off the beaten path places that you make the journey to… well worth the adventure! Truly incredible bbq experience for those who appreciate the craft…. excellent sausage, flavorful brisket burnt ends, tender smoky pork & a juicy chicken qtr. Sides mac-n-cheese & Brunswick stew w/ cornbread…. perfect accompaniments to the meats. If you’re local, you’re lucky. If you’re traveling get there & get some!

I like to stop and eat at BBQ joints when ever I travel. Stopped here for lunch. Place was clean and staff were friendly. Wife got a cheeseburger and fries. She said it was very good. I got the pulled pork with sides of sweet potato fries and brunswick stew. BBQ looked to be finely chopped not pulled which is not a concern to me. However…while the Q was very moist, it was overly sweet like it had been sauced with a lot of sugar. Added some of the BBQ sauce labeled Sweet ( they had sweet, hot and a third bottle that was not labeled ) which seemed to cut down on the sweetness of the Q, still too sweet though. My question is…the place says on their menu “Home of the No Sauce Needed BBQ”….so why to they have sauces on the tables ? The sweet potato fries were very good. The real surprise to me was the Brunswick stew. It had a very smokey taste that made it some of the best I have ever had. If I come back here I would get the brunswick stew over the Q. Prices were decent and portions in line with other places I have eaten at.

4.5 STARS. Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday at 6:45 PM. Great service. Very clean and comfortable. Pretty darn good overall. One of the photos is our basket of Fried Green Tomatoes. The photo was taken after we’d already dived into them. They were, maybe, the best I’ve ever had. Consisting of 7 large slices, they were as hot as could be. Our helpful and friendly waitress told us that each order is one entire tomatoe. Nicely seasoned. The batter was very crispy and thin, yet when sliced with the plastic knife the batter adhered well so that I was able to dip it the ranch sauce with my plastic fork.
I had a Half Rack of Ribs which came with 2 sides. The ribs were very good, delicately smoked (not too much smoke), moist and too tender to remain attached to the bone when bitten and pulled. The Half Rack was 6 meaty rib bones. They were served with a sauce which was already applied.
I like fries but I opted not to have them because they are made from frozen and the waitress said they were shoestring style: not my favorite (photos provided by other reviews show the fries to NOT be shoestring style). When I asked if the Brunswick Stew and Baked Beans were good she said they were made in-house an customers like them. The Brunswick was great and the Beans were ok.
My wife had Pulled Pork, Sweet Potato Crunch, and Cole Slaw. The Pulled Pork was excellent and a nice portion. The Sweet Potato Crunch was Excellent and the Cole Slaw was just ok.
Both dinners came with a “run of the mill” dinner role (why to so many southern BBQ places serve bread like this. Why bother?)
The sauces can make or break a BBQ meal. The three sauces were a mild smoky one that was ok, a mustard sauce that wasn’t spicy enough for me, and a spicier sauce that was about a 6.5 out of 10. This last one was my favorite of the three.
I’d definitely return.

Honestly, the nastiest The most disgusting barbecue I ever had. I literally went home after I ate it and I had to throw up because it was bad. It was sour nasty barbecue, so honestly I don’t recommend this place.

I am picky about ribs, they are the biggest ribs and the price is rock bottom. If you want fat juicy ribs, you found the place. They have to put a full rack in 2 take out boxes, that’s how big the ribs are.

went there today, hoping to get some barbecue. Just to find out they are closed. I understand that you’re close for holiday but if you’re going to be close, make it known put it on your voicemail. Put it on your website not just a sign when you drive up and you’re wasting your gas to do that. That’s bad Business.
