Great date night place. Real kerosene lamps on the tables, but still dark and cozy. Minter was our waitress and was very nice and sweet. Had the Filet & baked potato. They were really good. Not the best steak I’ve had, but it was good & classic. Will probably try the Strip next time. Classic old timey steakhouse though, meal came with a salad and cups of cheese and a surprisingly good chicken liver patte with crackers. Dessert was a delicous apple pie and ice cream. Reasonable prices. But can’t say enough about service and atmosphere.

Hidden away gem of a restaurant. What a wonderful meal. The vibe is rustic. Down to earth menu with a cozy feel while you eat. Start out with pate and cheese relish tray with crackers. We each enjoyed a different entrée which I will include in the description of the pictures there’s plenty to eat, and it’s a very reasonably priced, and the servers are very polite and accommodating.

Great food, rustic & cozy atmosphere and all the staff are the best! We chose to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary here & glad we did. Had not been here in many years but it was just as we remembered. Friendly greetings upon arrival, seated at a table by the fireplace, waitress was excellent & our food was the best. With food served on sizzling cast iron plates, they really have a way of tempting you to try everything on the menu. And to end our great meal, we were gifted with a piece of that famous Farm House pie which was awesome.

We really liked the old farmhouse style atmosphere, and service was very good. We felt the food was just average, The streak tasted fine, but was a little tough and we would have liked a tomato on the salad and some strawberry or blueberry topping for the cheesecake.

I do not give out 5 star reviews easily as I am a professional ” fault finder” but i mist say the farm house nailed it everything was Absolutely amazing, due to having children we do not get out much but we’re able to sneak away for date night. Despite it being a Friday and a full house they were able to get us back within 2 minutes and led us to a table by the fireplace. We both ordered the 12oz steak he the ribeye and I the house steak and they were incredible. Hands down best steak I’ve ever had. prices were reasonable for what your getting (food and scenery) about $35 for each of ours (keep in mind that’s the most expensive thing on the menu) but I did see some chicken options for around $20-$22 this was not our first time going here and definitely will not be our last. The candle light is perfect for date night however I did see many family’s attending together.
If you have not been I highly recommend you check out this place!

Great steakhouse hidden in the woods of Chapel Hill. I had the Ribeye and it was very tender and juicy. The service was excellent. If you are in the area try it out.

We were so excited to come here as a family (6 adults and 1 toddler) to celebrate New Year’s Eve, as we did last year. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great, as always; however, the service was very disappointing.
It’s frustrating when a 20% gratuity is automatically added and the service does not reflect that expectation. We are completely fine with an automatic gratuity when the service is attentive and engaged, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case during our visit. When we mentioned our concerns to the employee at the checkout counter, the response felt dismissive, which only added to our disappointment.
Overall, this was not the New Year’s Eve supper we had envisioned, and we will likely look elsewhere for future family celebrations.

Where do I start? Here you’ll find, hopefully because it can be a challenge, a hidden gem. This is a throwback, rustic , old fashioned steakhouse that is fantastic! Our filets where grilled perfectly. Simple, stated food. Comes standard with a large baked potato and salad. Wine was reasonably priced ( we did a bottle).
HIGHLY recommend you make a reservation. We went early on a Friday night. It can get very noisy (and did) but we will definitely be bringing back friends.

The aesthetic is charming but the food is overpriced. Someone bought all the plates, cutlery and decor for the 1970s Ponderosa Steakhouse and threw it into and old ranch house with favorable zoning. $40 for a burnt unseasoned 10oz dead milk cow NY strip and almost $50 for an 8oz chewy filet served on a recycled fajita skillet added up to $119 with tip for bad steak steamed baked potato and cafeteria salad. The Golden Corral sirloin is much better.
