Wow…. this place is amazing. The salsa is so full of flavor. I asked for the habenero sauce. Just the right amount of spice for chips and my taco. Rosie’s queso dip was unbelievable. The sauce paired with the ground beef all mixed together with the queso will make your eyes roll. I had a single carne asada taco. While I prefer my steak to be chopped, it didnt take away from how delicious this taco was. All the way down to the sweet, house made corn tortilla. My main entrée was the pollo chipotle. Another mouth watering dish. The chicken was so tender and seasoned perfectly. All over a bed of zucchini and smooth mashed potatoes. And all of that sitting in a pool of some of the best chipotle sauce I’ve had. Every bite was just as good as the last. All the flavors came together perfectly. For dessert, while I was hoping for warm flan, it was still rich and silky smooth. I would eat here religiously. Side note: if you even have a concept of what mole sauce is, theirs is probably second best I’ve ever had. Their service is exceptional. My server, Eddy, was great. Was patient and answered all my questions, and their other staff cleans your table regularly so it doesnt get crowded. Eat. Here.

Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar is a great spot if you want good food and a fun, lively atmosphere. The salsa and guacamole were awesome, and everything we ordered was delicious. What really stood out though was the vibe of the place. The energy was high, especially with the birthday celebrations going on, which made the whole experience feel like a party. Between the food, drinks, and atmosphere, it’s definitely a place worth coming back to.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely food. We had cochinita pibil, which was delightful! Be careful of the mango habanero because it is extremely spicy. The shrimp taco was amazing and the fried fish became a little soggy but still tasted good. Queso/guac and salsa with chips was delish! And washed it all down with a Grapefruit Refresher, so amazingly fresh! Cris was a very attentive and friendly server. Love all of the artwork especially the corn mural and loteria tiles that reflect today’s culture.

GG and Franco were THE BEST WAIT STAFF EVER! I came in with 30 people for my mom’s surprise birthday party and she was SURPRISED and Impressed!! The wait staff was superb!! The kitchen was CRAZY fast and we all sat down and were all fed in about an hour !! We even had extra cake and the wait staff was able to enjoy! GG and Franco and the Fat Rosie’s Team really made this a memorable experience! The food tasted GREAT and I would 10/10 recommend you going to them and having any event there!!

Scheduled a lunch birthday celebration for my dad with 10 people. Booking with yesenia was easy. Contract for booking was emailed signed and sent back with no issues. Pricing was clear and you can pick what you prefer for your party.
Thankfully, we had the place mostly to ourselves when we arrived. Usually, this place is packed. This day had winter snow storms so that helped.
The service by Alberto and his team was great! From the chips and salsa down to the Tequila shots at the end! The food was great and tasty. We had the guacamole & chips, and empenadas as apps. Chicken fajita, carne asada, tortillas and salsa. The staff checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. They sang their happy birthday and brought out the sombrerros and Tequila airplane. Was great!

Amazing food and service! I could not believe how fast we received our food and drink orders. The ambiance of the restaurant itself is very nice, and extremely kid friendly. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

Wow, this place was a surprise gem!! I can’t say, Rosemont has ever been my first choice to go to eat, but yesterday it was a convenient place. We chose Fat Rosie’s for the rating and we were so happy we did!!
The service was great, despite being very crowded for a Thursday night. They took the time to apologize and make sure we were taken care of. Both the server and the Hostess/possible Manager.
The cocktails were delicious Both the strawberry jalapeno margarita (very spicy) and the agave old fashioned. (With tequila)

We stayed at the ALoft just around the corner and saw the great reviews for Fat Rosie’s. As it was -5F when we landed, somewhere close was a real plus.
We were greeted eagerly when we walked in for lunch. Seated immediately. All of the staff were so nice! They all seemed really happy to be there and it really added to the experience.
Chips and salsa brought to the table were fantastic. Probably the freshest chips I’ve had in a restaurant. We ordered steak and chicken fajitas with a beef taco on the side. The food probably appeared within two minutes. The fajitas were sizzling and smelled amazing.
I wish I had taken a photo before digging in, but I was just too eager.
Price was reasonable, especially considering it is just around the corner from the airport.
Highly recommended.
