So, so, so good—let me tell you, this place is an absolute gem. I took a chance on it after leaving another restaurant disappointed, and La Jolla more than made up for it. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is upscale and inviting.
The staff are genuinely friendly and clearly happy to be there, which makes a huge difference. David at the bar deserves a special shoutout—he could sell me anything and I’d say yes. He was attentive, made excellent recommendations, and truly elevated the entire experience. Give that man a raise.
I loved it so much that I went back a second time during my short visit. If you’re looking for a delicious meal, great service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that still feels high-class, this is the spot. Montgomery!! You can brag on this one! The atmosphere and food were 5 stars. Best pork chop hands down and that Cajun brown butter,,,,. Ooooooweee ! The lobster bisque yes!!!!!!

La Jolla is always a treat! The lamb chops are melt-in-your-mouth tender and never gamey, amazing even without sauce, (though the smoked pear gastrique is a perfect touch) This time I added turtle cheesecake with praline sauce… absolutely worth it. Lindsey’s warm welcome and knowing me by name make every visit feel special so appreciative.

Great service and ambiance!Reservations are recommended but my friend and I were able to be seated at a high top table as walk-ins.Service was superb!I was able to order a sidecar as an off menu item which tasted amazing!The tuna nachos were fresh and very flavorful. The wagyu was perfectly cooked to medium but not the best cut.The portion size was ample but there was more fat on the steak than I would prefer.The sear was also borderline too heavy but perfect for my taste.The broccoli was quite tasteful as well.The key lime cheesecake is highly recommended! There’s soft lighting throughout the venue which really sets the tone for an enjoyable evening. I will definitely be adding the location to my favorites in the area.

Had an amazing night at La Jolla! The service was absolutely top-notch — the bartender went above and beyond, super friendly and attentive. I do not usually do reviews but I was compelled to do one for this restaurant. Everything was delicious except for 1 item and our server was very attentive. However when my table shared that the steak ordered by one of the guest was not good, the chef came out and was completely rude and made the comment “I make hundreds of steaks a week and never had a complaint” well sir you have one now. The rest of the food was delicious and our server was very gracious however once the chef came out and was rude, the entire experience changed and we skipped dessert and left. Thank you to our server and again everything was delicious except the steak. That happens sometimes no big deal we just wanted to send it back but the chef tried to argue which is completely inappropriate.
