Food was edible, staff picked up and took the order within 2 minutes. The order accuracy was not 100%. Missing sides of sauces that were paid for, food order requests not followed. Overall the quality of the food was low. Portions were half sized compared to other local restaurants for a slightly higher cost paid
Price per dollar was high vs value and quality of food being low. Edible but low.
Happy I took the time to try, will not be a returning customer.

Chicos catered our son’s wedding and the food and service were both excellent!! They were incredibly kind, and also flexible to our last minute needs. The food was delicious and filling, and we loved the queso bar they set up at the end for us to continue to enjoy. I would highly recommend them for any event!

We couldn’t have been happier with Chicos Catering for our son’s wedding! The food was delicious, filling, and a huge success with our guests. They also provided outstanding service, proving to be both incredibly kind and wonderfully flexible to accommodate our needs right up to the last minute. The unexpected highlight was the queso bar they set up toward the end—everyone loved the chance to keep enjoying the food! The service and quality were top-tier. Highly recommend them for any event!

Chico’s is fantastic. The food is amazing, the prices are very reasonable, the staff is friendly, the service is fast, the atmosphere is fun, the place is clean, the bathroom is nice, the location is good… just everything. Fed a family of 3 for less than $30 including tip, and they’ve got the option of paying at the table with your phone, which was really cool. Can’t recommend it enough. We look forward to it every time we’re coming through Cadillac. (Forgive the photo quality, I didn’t think to take pictures until we’d started chowing down, lol) Also! Their sweet salsa is amazing, and you can buy it to take home.

We decided to try a new place around Cadillac for dinner. To start off, the “hot salsa” was tomato paste with jalapeno blended into it, and the “sweet salsa” was tomato paste with added sugar. The chips weren’t made fresh and tasted like they came from save a lot; cheap. My husband got the “fajita platter” where he was only able to choose 1 meat; which we choose chicken. The chicken was barely flavored and mixed with some green peppers and onion. My boys got the pork tamales and they were dry and crumbly. My daughter got “the great tostada” which was basically taco salad in an edible tortilla bowl. I just got 4 hardshell beef tacos and we ordered a side of fried cauliflower and Mexican rice and beans. The Mexican rice wasn’t even real Mexican rice, it was white rice topped with paprika and the refried beans tasted burnt. The ONLY good thing we got out of our $84 meal was this green hot salsa stuff they make in house. That was PHENOMENAL. Which is the reason for the 3 stars. I couldn’t give them more because I was disappointed in the rest of our food. Definitely not authentic Mexican. We have it a try but won’t be returning until they get people in there that can actually make Mexican cuisine.

Our meal was take out.
My fault for not checking bags.
Half the food was missing.
The orders were not right
And it was expensive! Which I don’t mind if the order was correct. We live too far to track back.
Our ticket was only have right after repeating twice to two different people.

The pork tacos were the best pork tacos I have ever had! The chorizo and asada were also very good. Their corn tortillas are fantastic! My boys fell in love with this place! They also have good American-style tacos. We’ll be back!

Updated 8/2025: we’re back in business at Chicos! Food is top notch, staff is friendly, and the new green salsa is awesome. Today I got the KISS burrito and it was amazing. Chorizo was spicy and not greasy, chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the queso sauce was the perfect compliment. We’ll be back a lot sooner than my last review from a few years ago.
Old review: Not what it used to be. Chico used to strain the beef until all the fat was out, he’d then season it and add it to the burritos. Now it tastes like the beef is just browned and added, no straining, no spicing. The salsa is still good, the prices are still decent, but something feels not quite the same.
