This was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve had. We waited over an hour for a table for three, repeatedly being told we were “almost up.” Only after our wait ended did the host tell us they don’t seat parties smaller than four — information that would have completely changed our decision to stay, but was never mentioned beforehand. On top of the poor communication, the prices are unreasonable (over $8 just for chips and salsa), and the food itself was average at best. Not worth the frustration, time, or cost.

I wanted to like this place. Big Sky doesn’t have endless late-night options, so a Mexican spot after a day in the mountains seemed like an easy win. Unfortunately the service was pretty inattentive and slow, and at times it felt like our table had simply vanished from the staff’s memory.
When the bill came, things got more interesting. Our food and drinks had been double charged, which we had to point out and sort through ourselves. On top of that, there was mandatory gratuity on a takeout order, which was a new one for me.
The real standout, though, was the side sauces. A few small cups somehow added up to about $12 in extra charges, which makes them some of the most valuable liquids in Big Sky outside of the whiskey at the ski bars. Mistakes happen, but between the billing confusion and the surprise sauce economy, the experience left a pretty sour impression.
Other than that, the salsa was bland, the portions were good sized, and it was overall mediocre.

Great place to have Mexican food and a couple Margaritas. Side note, if you are asked if you’d like chips and salsa….. They do charge for these. Unlike where we come from and many other Mexican food places across the United States we have eaten at where they are complimentary.
Our bartender was fantastic! Super attentive and very nice!

Legitimately the slowest service I have ever had in any restaurant ever. Took probably almost 3 hours from start to finish. The food was okay, but nothing that should take that long. When we expressed frustration with the slow service they seemed to dismiss it as they were busy. Not worth it whatsoever.

The evening started out great! Waited in the bar for a table as it was busy, always a good sign. We shared chicken fajitas. After scooping the ingredients onto my plate I saw there was a hair in my food. I showed the waiter my plate with the hair. His first response was to make sure he had served clean side plates for our shared dinner. Yes the side plates were fine but there was an obvious hair on my plate after serving from the platter. He saw the hair on my plate and took the plate away but did not follow up. He later left the check without comment. I asked about it and he said the manager could come by in 15-20 minutes. We ended up paying the check in the bar as neither the waiter or manager ever came to talk to us. We were not looking for a free ride just at least an apology. Sometimes these things happen but the reaction from the restaurant was disappointing and unprofessional. Cannot recommend this restaurant.

During our week in Montana we decided let’s have one nice meal out. So we chose Alberto’s. A great choice. Angel treated us right. The cooks did an excellent job too. It was six of us family members and we just had a delightful time. Thank you, it was a wonderful warm spicy treat on a cold windy snowy day.

Ended up coming here twice while in big sky! Some of the better food we had here for sure. Quesabirria, flautas, and steak fajitas were delicious

Don’t know what others are complaining about. Price is good for Big Sky. Our service was amazing! Drinks, apps, and meals came out fast on a Saturday. Most importantly, the food tasted amazing! This isn’t your American/Mexican food. Flavor is MUCH better! Very satisfied!

Had a decent time. Food was pretty good. Portions small. Enchiladas did not come with rice and beans yet most places include them. Refill for Salsa cost extra. Restrictions on the combos and couldn’t add what kind of sauce you wanted.
Pobalno Cream Enchiladas: Beef was very good in them and overall the sauce was quite nice. No beans or rice or an option to add. portion size decent $22
Chile Verde Pork: small portion for the price $18. Beans were watery and lqcked good flavor. Overall good flavor on pork but small pieces.
Very busy, our waitress was nice but didn’t provide us much time.
Restrictions and no substitutes was disappointing.
Salsa very good. They provide a large bowl of it.
Prices high for what you get. Menu prices and online website do not reflect each other well.

We stopped for lunch and it was not very crowded. The decor and atmosphere are above average, but the service is extremely slow. The menu is traditional Mexican but they do not have Nachos. And the cheese queso is not traditional cheese you get in true Mexican restaurants. I’m hoping the other Mexican restaurant located here offers better service and menu.
