Simply ignore the one-star review, whoever left the rating knows nothing whatsoever about Italian food. This place was excellent when it was Joe’s, we were worried about the change in ownership but the food may have even gotten better since then. We are expat New Yorkers and have been trying to find decent Italian food for years. imagine a place opening up so close to us that has food that rivals what we used to get back home or could make ourselves. the pizza is as close as you will find to a real New York pie, the cheese is correct, the sauce is correct, the crust can be a little thick from time to time but the taste is always there. Try an onion pizza, it will knock your socks off. Every pasta dish that anybody in my family has gotten has been fantastic, sauces not thin, pasta not overcooked, Meats and Seafood not chewy overcooked, everything stuffed with flavor. The only disadvantage they have is that the room is rather large, so everybody should come out and fill it up! We are very lucky to have this quality Italian food here in this part of Texas. And since we live practically down the street, we are doubly lucky to have something where we don’t have to drive an hour into Houston to get anything of quality. Come out and support it because take it from those who have lived with this kind of food for decades, it is legit. You won’t be disappointed.

My family and I decided to take our mother here for Mother’s Day. We arrived 20 minutes prior to closing, at 8:40 p.m., they close at 9. We were turned away as soon as we walked in! We asked why they were closing before the advertised closing time and they said the cook was already washing dishes. We asked for the owners information and then they changed their minds and said they’d serve us. I told them they were unprofessional and I didn’t want to risk the cook spitting in my food, so we chose to leave.
*This is a warning, if you choose to go there later in the evening…they might try to turn you away.
