This is our go-to local place. I usually get the Cashew Chicken with Veggie Spring Rolls and the wifey gets the Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wraps or Hibachi Chicken.
Dine-in, o get the Sesame Tofo with the sauce on the side.

Great Wall Chinese has become one of my go-to spots in Round Rock when I’m craving comforting, flavorful Chinese food. The pork egg foo young was a standout—crispy on the outside with a rich, savory gravy that hit all the right notes. The pork lo mein had a great balance of flavor and texture, with just the right amount of sauce. I also tried the sautéed broccoli in hot sauce, and it was a pleasant surprise—fresh, perfectly cooked broccoli with a kick of heat that wasn’t overpowering.

The portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and service was quick.

From the moment I walked in, the smell of the food had me excited. I was greeted with a warm and genuinely awesome welcome from the gentleman at the counter. His attitude alone made the experience better. I ordered takeout and the portions were huge. The food tasted great and everything was fresh and flavorful. On top of that, the service was very fast. Overall, a really awesome experience and I will definitely be back.

First try…yes, I’ll be back. Crawfish fried rice is a must. It gave me Cajun style fried rice, like a southern twist to Chinese fried rice. Plus, it has sausage. That will be my go to all the time. We ordered the Singapore noodles too and that was really good. It had BBQ pork (which I haven’t tried) it was cooked just right and the flavor was on point. My favorite was the egg roll…#1 in my book. It had that crunch from when u bite it and the soft filled center packed with flavor. Just make sure you dip it in the sweet and sour sauce to complete it. Order from Great Wall if u haven’t. You won’t be disappointed, unless you order something I haven’t tried.

Our experience at Great Wall Express Chinese Restaurant was excellent! Although the service and ambiance were satisfactory, the standout feature was the food. We enjoyed the Szechuan Chicken and Basil Chicken, both of which were incredibly delicious. They perfectly satisfied our craving for flavorful Chinese cuisine, and we would gladly return for another enjoyable meal!

I should have read the reviews before ordering from this place. We ordered the mongolian beef, vegi egg foo young, orange chicken, hot and sour soup and fried wontons. The mongolian beef was too soft and had almost a jelly like texture. The sauce was bland and salty. If you are a fan of egg foo young, you probably know that it’s supposed to be heavier than it looks. The patties should be dense and well fried. These were not. They had an almost scrambled egg texture to them and they were only lightly fried. The brown sauce was bland. The orange chicken tasted like orange juice and had no heat or flavor other than sugar. The hot and sour soup was eggs and tofu only and was extremely bland. The wontons were decent, but they left out the sweet and sour sauce. The gentleman manning the counter couldn’t even muster a smile and appeared to be completely apathetic. We will never order from this place again.

Let me give you some cheat codes. Great Wall Express has some of the best egg foo young. Fight me about it if you want, but the gravy is so flavorful and full of umami. Next, skip the hot mustard on the table and ask them to bring you some from the back for the real kick to make your head top sweat!

The seating area is bigger than expected. Their fried noodles taste better than Chinese fast food like panda express. Their shrimps are big and fresh. The cashiers are very friendly both male and female. And their serving dish is a lot.
