Stopped in on Veterans Day for dinner and was rewarded with an awesome meal in honor of my service. Thank you Portage Lake Parlor! Had the special rib dinner with a side of baked beans (I think they are the best anywhere) and coleslaw. The ribs were smoked perfectly, meaty and tender. I would definitely recommend the ribs. Also, they make a great Bloody Mary.

Stopped in for lunch while we were camping nearby. The brisket bites were fantastic, the service was wonderful, and fast too! I had the fish dinner, and it was excellent! Normally I would have preferred the fries with a little more salt, but these didn’t need it! My wife had the chicken quesadilla, and she said it was also delicious!

We went in a Wednesday and none of the smoked meats were ready. Their chicken wings were in special and everyone said they were great. I had a burger. It was awesome. All the people we were with loved their food. We say outside. Music started at 6:30

There was an awesome band playing there called Eminence, they had a saxophone player and a great singer. The food is amazing! Ribs, brisket, fish, the best I’ve ever had and the portions are very generous. They also have a bar and pool table.

Paid $50 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks..1 bottlr of beer and a mixed drink…burgers were dry and to top it off false advertisement..they advertise 3oz burgers so you order a extra patty for one, get our check amd they 6 ounce bugers..way to get $4 more dollars from ya along with having to pay extra for fries, lettuce and tomato..and a bun that fell apart..$8.50 for a mixed drink that tasted like juice! Server only came to our table 3 times..to take order..bring food..and brought check…
