Ordered the 12 ounce rib eye. Salad with house made ranch. Bartender poured me a generous whiskey. Salad, steak and potato were amazing. About the best I’ve had in quite awhile. Very chill scene. Wish there were more places like this. Thoroughly impressed.

Why didn’t I take a picture of that burger. Oh my, it was so good!. I got just a plain double cheeseburger and tutor tots. The burger was so juicy and 2 really thick burgers. I finished the burger, but couldn’t quite eat all the tots! The burger was spot on! Can’t wait to go back. Waitress was awesome as well! Thank you!

We ordered the special…ribeye and baked potatoes. Salad was plain but good. Potatoe was overcooked to the point of being mushy. Ordered it loaded…came with onions, pepers, cheese and a few…scarce little bacon bits. Didn’t get any butter or sourcream. Steak was more fat then meat and very grisly. We ordered homemade peach pie with ice cream. Received apple pie instead. And ice cream had several big chunks of hard ice in it.

Overall food was not anything I’d go back for, though homemade pie was good, though not flavor we asked for.

Price was $52, which is acceptable. Our waitress was excellent. So I gave my highest score to service. Overall a disappointment though.

Excellent. Came on a Monday night as I pick up a load nearby Tuesday morning. Super friendly staff. Both ladies were incredibly friendly. The owners son was here and wow is he ever a hoot. Friendly and hilarious. Had the bacon cheeseburger basket. Cooked to perfection. They still rocking the Oktoberfest from Sam Adams. My favorite beer. Definitely my kind of place. Next time I’ll try the steaks. Don’t pass this gem up folks.

I see 4.6 rating and seen on top a few people mentioning like “don’t miss this gem” or “it was perfect”. So I see there’s not a lot in this town and this place is a gas station, grocery store, casino, restaurant, and a bar which I am grateful for, but IDK I guess there’s a lot of people whos standards are something they rest on the ground. I am a bit cranky RN but I leave it that my steak was quite rare. I had already started cutting into it and eating so I’m like I’m not sending that back in. As I cut deeper it got even more rare. It had a decent seasoning but I dont usually season my steaks but throw some A1 on it. Good luck yall.

We were traveling through from wheaton mn on our way to Hermosa sd. It had been approximately 3-4 years since we had stopped here to eat..We go past the place maybe 2-3 times a year and thinking about our previous visit made us somewhat reluctant, but our bellies told us it was about time to eat.. So we stopped.. What a pleasant surprise.. The inside looked totally different.. There had been a lot of remodeling and changes since our previous visit.. Kathy had the noon special which was meatloaf, potatoes, and carrots.. It was more then she could eat so I had to finish it after I finished my crispy chicken sandwich and fries.. Food was all great and it seemed like no shortage of good help.. If you’re traveling on highway 14 thru Highmore sd and it’s time to eat, stop in and try it. I know we’ll be stopping again, maybe even on our way back home..
