Snoopys Pier was literally a product of the Redfish Wars, a battle over commercial fishing rights in the inland waterways and bay systems of Texas. Over time, the place was transformed with a lot of hard work and patience into a family-friendly seafood restaurant. We have an on-site fish house and shrimp breading facility that enables us to monitor and control the quality and freshness of our seafood. In 1993 Scoopy’s was added to give Snoopy’s customers a choice of tasty treats. Since then, Snoopy’s continues to be listed as the best on-the-water dining experience in Corpus Christi, as well as one of the top coastal restaurants in the country and a must-see part of the Texas Coast.
Veteran eatery offering fried shrimp, crab cakes & more in a family-friendly setting with bay views.

We had a blast there. We found it on a search for a good place to watch the sunset over the water. They have a counter service and lots of seating out on the pier. The food is good – I mean, it’s not a big restaurant but it was hot, well cooked and the fries were delicious. There’s an ice cream shop (also Snoopy’s) next door so we were able to keep our seats on the pier so as not to miss the sunset. They didn’t mind that we stayed an hour and a half one bit. So if you are near Padre Island and looking for a great sunset- watching spot, Snoopy’s is a great stop.

Usually don’t go for straight up fried food, but this was very good! I especially loved the stuffed crab balls with the spicy roumalade. The onion rings were very good. The breading for the shrimp was flavorful. The oyster sandwich was a little underwhelming, but overall, it was good.

Snoopy’s is a cool spot! This is a late lunch review…I think this place has a completely different vibe in the evenings. Anyway, there are plenty of outside seats by the water and plenty of seating inside as well. However, there really isn’t a good view inside. The food was absolutely great! Fish and chips and the butterfly shrimp are highly recommended. This place might get crowded in the evenings, so if you eat early it might benefit you.
This is not a table service restaurant. You’ll order at the counter pick a seat then wait for you name to be called. You can also pick a seat first to look at the menu then go order if you want.
If you’re a Coca-Cola products person you wont like the drink selection…it’s Pepsi products (insert sad face for me). I gave a 3 on service, because there really isn’t any. You order, get your food, eat and then leave, so there isn’t much to rate.
Another note…on outside seating
There will be birds very close to you…bird phobia people beware.
It’s definitely worth checking out!

I’ll get to the positive before the negatives. It’s a cool place on the water near the JFK Causeway with a nice view of the bay. The seafood selections are mostly fried with a couple of other options. You have to walk up and place your order which is not a not an issue but set the tone of the experience and not the same as having full service. Pictured in this review is what is called “Drumsticks” on the menu which is fried Black Drum with fries. The upside is it was a large portion and the fries were good. However, the fried fish was just okay and I didn’t particularly care for the batter. Before deciding on it, I asked what fish was on the Fish/Shrimp Combo and it was not a locally sourced fish so obviously frozen that came in on truck. I didn’t ask if the shrimp was fresh or frozen after I decided to not order the combo. I’m sorry but I have an issue with so-called seafood restaurants located on the coast especially right on the water that do not serve fresh, local seafood and the prices are what you would expect to pay for fresh. That has become more common at a lot of local restaurants than a lot of people realize. I wouldn’t talk someone out of going there if they just wanted a place to have a beer and grab a bite to eat but would suggest that you ask questions about what is being served and if it is fresh or frozen. If asked for a seafood restaurant recommendation I wouldn’t recommend Snoopy’s. There are other options, one very nearby that has better seafood.

I took some friends here for lunch and it was definitely over priced. The young lady, Maria, I think, was not very friendly and she couldn’t decide if our sea food baskets were $24 or $31.00. In the end, it was $98.00 for 3 – shrimp and fish baskets with a few fries (see the photos). Plus, there was a recommendation for an 18.00 tip, which I rescinded when I found out we have to pick up our food and condiments and serve our own drinks? I understand the scenery is very nice but the building and outside furniture was a bit runned down. Next time, it’s Boat N Net and fighting the seagulls on a towel at the beach

Cannot imagine a better way to spend a lovely afternoon by the water than enjoying great food at Snoopy’s Pier — all under the watchful eyes of the seagulls.
We ordered the fried shrimp platter and the full combo platter with fried fish, shrimp, and oysters, and loved every bite. The seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked, and incredibly satisfying.
And don’t forget to end your meal with ice cream from nearby Scoopy’s Ice Cream — the perfect sweet finish to a wonderful waterfront afternoon.

We wanted good fried seafood, ended up with mediocre over priced fried seafood. We both had the Fried combo which comes with fish, shrimp and oysters. Fish and shrimp were average and the oysters were a bit too undercooked for us. The hush puppies and fried okra were the best part of the meal. You order at the counter, your name is called when your order is ready and you eat on Styrofoam plates. We both walked away a bit let down by the experience.

Kinda fun spot with food, activities, drinks and more food.
Popular with the families and the drinkers. The drinkers seeem to be more fun as the kids seem to just make noise and complain about everything. “Mom, more ranch dressing”. “Dad, I wanna chase the birds”.
Take em all next door to get an ice cream. It’s all here on the pier.

Incredibly disappointed in our take out order today. We ordered over the phone and they forgot to add our fried catfish meal. The kids grilled cheese sandwiches were $10 – and didn’t look correctly cooked. We tried to call back to correct our order and the phone just rings. Our shrimp platters and hush puppies were good – consistent with a food shack menu, so the price just didn’t match the quality unfortunately. We spent over $100 on very cheaply made food. Customer service could be better and more professional.
Will not order from here again.
