A friend told us to try this place. She mentioned that they had the best grits that she had ever had. We started with an apple doughnut appetizer. It was really good. It was small doughnuts with apple butter a glaze and pecans. They were served hot, fresh and delicious. Our order also included chicken and waffles, two egg breakfasts, a jalapeño omelette and another omelette. The potatoes/homefries were perfectly seasoned. The grits did NOT disappoint! There was a short wait, so we waited at the lounge in the back and had a cup of coffee. The service was friendly. Our believe our waiters name was Ellen.

This is by far the best breakfast place I’ve eaten at in NC! I challenge you to show me another place that stacks up. The grits are the best I’ve ever had and my wife’s meal made my mouth water! Great service! Check it out and enjoy!!!

This has to be the best place I’ve eaten in at least 2yrs. Jessica and Darlin were amazing! I sat at the bar and enjoyed the open kitchen concept. Music was chill and went with the vibes. Mahi was perfect. Mocktails were fantastic. My salad was so fresh there almost no need for dressing. I also learned they make flavored butters. Sue is the sweetest and they sell tshirts for travelers and locals alike.

The food and service and service was great. It was pretty busy and a bit noisy, but I guess that’s a sign of a business doing well. The food was good, but FYI, they don’t allow substitutions.

Worth the wait! It was busy, we put in our name, the friendly hostess handed us a pager and waited about 30min.Once seated, service was awesome, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent! Huge biscuits with sausage gravy, thick slices of bacon on the side. YUM! My husband LOVED his Steak and Eggs Shack plate! Prices were very reasonable for large portions. We will most definitely return! If you are visiting or live in the area local, be sure to visit this adorable gem with family vibes and great food!

We stopped for breakfast here while staying in Atlantic Beach, just a five minute drive across the bridge. Service was friendly and the food was very good – I had eggs, bacon and home fries and it was delicious and filling. They were also nice to our little girl and gave her some crayons to color. Our breakfast was really good, so we came back and ate here both mornings during our stay. I would definitely get breakfast here again if staying in the area.

The Banks Grill serving it up Fresh, Local, Healthy & with genuine cheer from the staff. THE BANKS OMELET, with 3 eggs, fresh sautéed shrimp, fresh mushrooms, crumbled bacon, green onions, & pimento cheese is a flavor roller-coaster on a cool coastal ride. (Don’t forget the home fries!)

Best breakfast in the area, especially the French toast with rum fried banana. The people working there have been lovely both times I’ve gone. Not the comfiest chairs to sit in, and they probably deserve a bigger dining area. I like the pirate flags everywhere though, and would rate this place 99/ 100.
