Wild’s Granary Restaurant is a gem of a restaurant in the North Woods. This is our second visit to the Granary and it does not disappoint. I had The Wild skillet, with fresh mushrooms and green peppers. It also came with two eggs of my choice, hashbrowns, and my choice of meat as well as toast.
One of my sisters ordered the “Your Morning, Morning Cake”. She asked Michael, our server, what kind of sausage they served. He told us they had sausage patties, but he would talk to the chef and see what he could do. My sister explained that she really liked sausage links rather than sausage patties. The chef tried to accommodate my sister’s wishes and rolled one of the patties and held it together with a toothpick. He also created little teeny tiny patties, almost like a cut up sausage link. We all had a good chuckle when Michael brought us our food, and then Chef Brian came out to check on us. They really went above and beyond. We will definitely visit this restaurant again. They have amazing hospitality and an even better sense of humor.

We ate here 3 days in a row for breakfast, and every day was 10/10 stars. The service was amazing, and quick. They have a small staff and run the whole place very efficiently! We were very impressed. We will go back the next time we’re in the area.

Unpleasant immediately. When we walked in the place smelled like their sewer back up… we ABSOLUTELY should have left at that point. We walked in along side another group of people. They were a party of 8 and were seated first. We were a party of 4 and seated right after. One person in their group even said to us, “you guys might want to order first.” There was no one else in the restaurant. The server/owner sat us and straight out the gate treated us like we were inconveniencing him. When he came back he rudely asked what we wanted for drinks. We said we were actually ready to order too. He scolded us that the other table was here first and they needed to order before we could. I clarified with him and said “so we have to wait until after that table is ready to place their order before we’re allowed to?” He scolded us that its first come first serve and stormed over to the other table without even letting us order drinks. Anyone who’s worked in food serve knows this is not a thing you do or say. He then started complaining loudly about us to to the other table. They also seemed taken aback by his attitude and what just happened. I think he successfully made everyone very uncomfortable. We immediately got up and left. I’m not sure how someone has the energy to be that rude and sassy in the morning, but to the owner, we were not rude to you and didn’t deserve your attitude. Do better and fix your plumbing.

We stopped into Wild’s Granary during a snowmobile trip over President’s Day weekend. You will feel right at home when you show up – it’s like arriving at grandma’s kitchen after being out in the snow all day. The owners are kind and gracious, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect. Highly recommend!

We were inside one minute and were rudely told to wait. Just wanted the restroom before we were seated and kept getting told to wait. When ordering the server argued with each order. Tried to order from the kids menu because the regular items were too much. Snarky server said I sure didn’t look like I was 7 or under. So I saved some money and didn’t order anything. Coffee was lukewarm and when we asked for hot coffee, he did bring us fresh pot but had to add, “I checked, it’s 300 degrees.”
Food was good but not worth putting up with the owners.

The service and food were the best I have had. Had the meat omelet and it was absolutely amazing. Will definitely stop here every time we go to the UP.

Here again and can’t recommend any more highly than I did at my last review. Good food, healthy portions, and excellent, prompt and friendly service! Breakfast is a must! Great breakfast! Seating on the porch that is semi open air, lots of circulation. Mask friendly!! Get there early for smaller crowd.

It’s been several years since we’ve been in the area for snowmobiling, but we remembered this place had great food and even better cinnamon rolls. We wanted to get a jump on our day, our party of 8 pulled into the parking lot at 7:57 on a Monday and were met by someone throwing salt down , we inquired if the were open “ in 10 minutes” we were told. When we got inside, we were told we should have made a reservation ( we were the only clients ) …. One of our party asked for a drink with the meal, we were told they don’t do that… one meal was forgotten by “the software” When it came out we weren’t charged for it, which is what got this place it’s 2 stars. The food is ok, it’s not what it was, and awesome cinnamon rolls are no where to be had. Another group came in, asked for specials, and were told “everything on the menu is special” A couple older ladies were scolded for admiring the decor. If we come back, it’ll be because we’re starving .

We love coming here. The service is always a delight. The food was amazing as usual. The French toast menu alone is worth coming out for. We will always be back

Everything is outstanding! Ate breakfast here twice, once when super busy and had to wait and once when not too busy. The owners run their buns off and provide fantastic service and food. We drive 36 miles to eat here and will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try their Friday night fish fry starting soon.
