Favorite sushi place in the Bay Area! We have been going regularly for a decade, and like it more than a lot of the fancy omakase places. The salmon, seared salmon, and salmon avocado are insanely good here. Chef’s choice nigiri is delicious too. The rice is just th right flavor.

Can’t stop going here! I started going to Odori after a recommendation from my friends and I’ve been frequenting it ever since. This is the kind of mom and pop shop our community needs to support. It’s a family-run establishment and the love and care can be felt in the friendly service and delicious food. They really treat you like family here.
I’ve enjoyed the Nigiri lunch special with a California roll – really delicious and fresh fish with great texture as well as the tempura Soba. I’ve been looking for a good Soba spot in the Bay Area and this is it! The noodles are toothsome, earthy, and the sauce is a great blend of umami, sweet, and salty.
Can’t wait to come back!

Recommended and will return. I had a wonderful meal here with some unagi don and a chef’s choice sushi. The fish was wonderfully fresh, the rice was just right, and even the soy sauce was slightly different and special. The chili crisp garnish on one nigiri distracted a little from the great fish, perhaps, but that was a minor thing. In any case, ignore the sort-of-hilarious but misleading negative reviews and give this a try.

Ordered a shrimp stir-fried rice and a stir-fried udon on Uber eats and was looking forward to an exciting Japanese hibachi style meal. Instead I was met with a little more tepid disappointment after arriving home from picking up the order. The noodles were a little gummy and came with almost no protein which was still quite expensive for the price. Flavor was very bland and didn’t have any complexity. The shrimp fried rice was a little better but once again, flavor profile was quite limited but it did have a decent amount of smaller shrimp pieces. Overall, I would not order either of these choices again, the sushi bar looked very appetizing however so I may want to come back to try out their sushi.

Odori has BY FAR the best quality-to-price ratio of any sushi place I’ve been to anywhere. Their 10p chef’s choice sushi is an absolute favorite of mine – the quality of the fish totally rivals what you could find at a high-end restaurant, but at a median (or even below median) price.
The restaurant interior is pretty no-frills, but still fine and more than made up for by just how good their sushi is. (Clearly they invest more in their fish than their furniture, which is A-OK with me)

I came in with two friends in search of a sushi boat, and man did Janet (our server) and the chefs deliver. Janet came out with not one but TWO huge sushi boats that she put all of our sushi on by hand. This is a must-visit restaurant in Palo Alto with the freshest fish in the Bay. 10/10

The older female staff (owner probably?) was a little rude to her Asian customers. But when a Caucasian couple came in, she seemed to be very friendly, going as far as to introduce each dish to them as she served it — which made the experience worse.
Most negative reviews about the restaurant seemed to be about the same lady.
