This family had brought Mexico to North Fond Du Lac, WI. The best Quasabarillas that my lady I have ever had. They dont just make Mexican resteraunt food this is Mexican home cooking at its finest. Everything made to order in a size that they would make at home. Now I know, what a Jalepeno tastes like as theirs are all imported for Mexico. What’s wild is even the Doritos and Pepsi are different as they are also imported. The regular Doritos have a small kick of heat. The Pepsi and Coke are sold with pure cane sugar. I DARE YOU TO TRY THE DIFFERENCE. You’ll start coming just for the Sodas alone, but feel free to leave with bottle or can of liquor or beer that compliment your favorite menu item. My favorite menu item is the best burger I have ever had and best part its not small… and its not too big but will for sure fill your appetite. Its called the “Compadreburger.” This burger features 2 types of cheese one is a homemade Mexican Queso,a thin slice of ham, a jalepeno, a perfectly sized hotdog split open, pineapple lettuce and tomato on a soft sesame seed burger bun made here in Fond Du Lac. Take just one bite of anything in this market and as always… THANK ME LATER!!!

This is a pretty small place catering to Mexican type products with a small food counter. The place is tight on space, one picnic table outside, and only offers limited drink options, think corner store with a food counter. The food though was amazing, as was the speed of service. I tried the Chicken Burrito and was upset I didn’t order more as it was simply amazing in taste, contents and portion size. Salsa was also pretty damned good. Also impressive was the speed of service, we might have brought a large bus in with 22 people and they fed us pretty damned quickly.

I ordered a half dozen chicken tamales and a taco plate. Didn’t get a photo of the taco plate because I ate it so fast. Food is great, people were nice, and the service was quick!

Hidden gem must try authentic Mexican corner store, meat market, and takeout restaurant. North Fond du Lac is lucky to have such a store which you would expect to see in a larger city like Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago, etc. Recommend browsing around as you can find speciality sodas, chips, candies, and more. Also can never go wrong with an asada quesadilla or the quesabirria tacos for takeout food from the grill (pictured).

I grew up a few blocks from the market. It was a gas station when I was a kid. I would walk down here to buy candy all the time. I have traveled and lived all over the world since then. This place has some of the best taco’s I have ever had!!!! **Update 4/15/23, tried the Asada Gordita today…amazing!!! I don’t have to drive to get good food anymore….

I absolutely loved this tiny little meat store that serves takeout tacos, burritos, etc. The taco platter was fabulous – 1 pork/pineapple, 1 carne asada, and 1 carnitas. The red salsa is one of the best I’ve had – incredibly flavorful. Expect this little bodega to expand with seating soon – they will grow!!!
