Love this place ❤️! I’ve been a customer for 30+years, I’ve never received bad service. The food has been perfect all these years. My favorite the house breakfast. Portion is perfect size. I go at least twice a month.

Very good New Mexican fare. I have had the huevos rancheros and the carne adovada breakfast. Their fideos remind me of mom’s.

This is by far the absolute worst “Mexican food” I’ve ever had ! It’s flavorless and unseasoned with a sloppy presentation! Salsa taste like canned tomatoes with tiny bit of spice! They definitely need to remove the “Mexican Restaurant” from the name and just call it Richard’s! What a disgrace

Our favorite place in the world, we love Richard’s! It’s like eating at grandma’s, with family, we walk in and immediately get greeted with the biggest smiles and always happy faces.

First time being in New Mexico, I wanted to try some traditional New Mexican. I ordered the vegetarian burrito and asked to remove the cheese. When given the option of choosing the red or green chile, the lady was kind enough to mention that they make their green chile with some cheese, so red it was. Unfortunately, the only portion that had any flavor were the red potatoes that I chose as a side, which were delicious.
The red chile tasted like watered down tomatoes and had no spice or seasoning. The lentils and beans inside were just as lackluster, possessing not a single pinch of seasoning or spice. My family had the same experience with their non-vegan dishes. Out of my 33 years of existence, never have I experienced food so bland. The only reason I don’t give 1 star is that the wait staff were incredibly friendly and great at their job.

Went for a week day lunch, about 11 am. Chips and really great salsa were brought out first while we looked over the menu. I had the combination plate consisting of chile relleno, blue corn cheese enchiladas, a taco and beans & rice. It was good. The relleno was really my favorite. Food was also served with sopapillas and honey. Service was decent. I ordered a burrito to go, also, with beans, rice, and cheese and an order of sopapillas. The rice was not put in the burrito, didn’t realize til I was home. The sopapillas were not put in with the order, just like the rice, but the woman who handed me my food (probably owner/manager, not our server) got an order out to me quickly. Much appreciated. I will be back.

Having recently found out I have celiac disease, I’ve been so sad that I have to abstain from a lot of my favorite New Mexico food. I’m so pleased that I found this place! They have many gluten free options along with options to fit many other dietary needs/preferences. The atmosphere is calm and there is live music.
