We stopped here for lunch on a motorcycle ride. We all ordered burgers that were very tasty. My daughter wanted to substitute onion rings instead of fries but would have had to pay full price for an order of onion rings. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I would stop again if in the area.

Unfortunately, I can’t review this restaurant based on my experience. I made reservations on a Wednesday for the coming Saturday for my mom’s birthday. We drove the distance (45+ minutes) only to find the restaurant closed! It was snowing that evening, but the roads weren’t bad. When making the reservation, I was asked for a phone number, but now, I have no idea what for. The simple courtesy of calling would have saved the trip! (And this review! But I did try to contact them again before writing this. That was a week ago. I don’t expect to hear anything now.)

Really expensive for what you get. Roast beef special was VERY salty. Mac and cheese came with bread crumbs on top, which wouldn’t have been a problem if it had been mentioned in the menu. The service was ok. The Pink Squirrel was great.

The food is always great. The menu here is full of various flavors. More than you would expect. Our favorite fish to classic Italian options of tasty pastas and more. Outdoor patio seating is the luxury of best driftless area views of the valley and hills. Will see you soon!

Amazing food and proportions! Lots of choices on the menu. Service was good. Owner even came say and chatted with us. Clean facility. We sat outside on patio at sunset, it was lovely. Landscape was very inviting. Great place. Must check out!

Great and friendly staff and great food! The BEST tartar sauce ever. The battered fried fish is also the best batter. It’s light and crispy and doesn’t seem oily or greasy. Best mashed potatoes ever! (Sorry grandma/mom/auntie!)

Staying In viroqua for the weekend and we got into town Saturday a little later and a lot of places were closing soon and I wanted to sit outside so we drove back to this place that we passed on the way. Place is pretty hoppin’. Got a seat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view while we waited for our food. Service and food were good. I would definitely go back to this place if I’m ever in town again. But I’m sure she gets pretty busy.

The food is pretty darned good in general. I had the ribs on my most recent visit. They had a couple chewy bites, but just into the ribs they really were easily pulling apart and great. The salad bar looks small, but there are a surprising amount of options there.
Inside is clean and presentable. There are a couple rooms for dining in the bar area, and another sole eating area, maybe for a more quiet experience, or perhaps when they are filled up.
My wife loves outside here, they have a wonderful patio area. It’s a gated area which is nice, our two year old could run around and happened to not bother anyone. The view is memorable. A deer ran through the field near the end of our dinner.
Possibly the best part of it all was our server, Susan. I’ve been here probably a half a dozen times in the past year or so, and any time we get Susan it’s like being pampered. She’s not just there to take your order and give you your food. My wife asked for a bottled water, which they didn’t have, and Susan gave us one of her own personal waters. My son pushed my salad plate and it flipped into my lap, she was there in about 10 seconds with a rag, and she pulled up another table to make more space (so he couldn’t reach any more food). It just really feels like she wants you to have a good time there. on another trip, I’m pretty sure I remember her bringing out some cookies for our son to try, which we don’t give him cookies, but I asked for one and she gave me some 🙂
I can confidently say, you are in good hands while you have her as your server, not to discount the other servers, but she has, time and time again, really been a star.

It was very disappointing. We have eaten there in the past and were very happy. This time the soup on the salad bar was literally cold. Some of the dressings were empty, even after advising the staff. A number of salad bar items were empty, I ordered naked wings and they came very spicy. We felt the prices were rather high for the venue.

Stopped at this hidden gem on a whim as we were from out of town. First night had ribs and steak and scallops. Cheese curds hand breaded and perfect. Entrees and Salads were great. Went back next night and had broiled cod and broasted chicken. Seafood chowder and coleslaw was some of finest I’ve ever had. Dinners again were over the top We’ll be moving to area and will definitely be back!!
