At our Hopkinsville, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

A lot has changed over the last few years. The battered fish is now like a battered fish stick. We tried the spicy battered combo and the fish n shrimp combo. We weren’t overly impressed. The slaw seemed to be on its way to the trash. It was not as fresh as it once was. Thanks, Captain D’s for many years of being a great seafood restaurant. The time has come to move on.

When I went it, the manager was working the drive thru and the front. She mentioned everyone else was on break. She did a great job multitasking as far as I could see. I didnt wait long for my food. Everything was good,especially the fish ( with the hot sauce of course ). Anyone trained under her, should be a great efficient employee!

I wanted some lunch, and went Captain Ds in Hopkinsville. I went through drive-thru and order my meal! I ordered the Shrimp meal and added a piece of fish. Everything was hot and fresh and received great customer service.

Food was fresh, hot, and delicious! The manager (sorry, didn’t catch her name but she was working at 3pm on Easter) was amazing! She rearranged my order to save me money while working the front counter and the drive through at the same time! She was polite, friendly, and professional. The world needs more people like her! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I was starving so my hubby went to Captain Ds and I was on the phone when he ordered. The food he brought back was all wrong. The fish and shrimp tasted horrible like it was under cooked, the slaw had a weird taste and they gave me a diet Pepsi too top it off. I tried calling but phone stayed busy and I was not in mood to drive across town too return.

Dining room closed to 5 tables and employees got upset when customer sat in blocked off area because there was no other tables available my order was given to another table and when I confronted the manager about the incompetance of the employee she got very rude with me and called me incompetent because I was telling her that her employee was incompetent for delivering my food to someone else and that customer gave me my food this place is filthy soda machine broke paint peeling off of windows in the dining room they can’t even afford paper plates for dine in it is a crying shame that you have a manager that doesn’t have the decency to even say I’m sorry we made a mistake and I will speak with the employee to make sure that he is careful when taking out orders my they have lost my business I’ll go to long John silver’s before I ever go back to captn D’s

The food was fresh and so good! The girls working the drive thru today did an excellent job and were super friendly! Hailey was the main one who helped me. Her customer service was great from the time I ordered to the time I left!
