Contemporary Indian eatery & bar where patrons choose their spice levels in a Zen-like atmosphere.

Bad:
First of all they are doing open construction. Raw, cut drywall everywhere. Electric wires hanging out by the mirror in the bathroom. It was dusty in the restaurant.
Good:
My food was delicious. I had the Chefs Garlic chicken tikka. That is definitely a reorder.

I would have to say the best Indian food ive ever had! Service was pleasant & quick with great recommendations! We ordered the butter chicken amazingly tender great flavor, also got the lamb chops to die for! Phenomenal flavor from the marinade & seasonings so so tender melt in your mouth! The rice was great & the Garlic Naan so fresh, hot, & flavorful. The fact that this place wasn’t absolutely packed is crazy to me because they deserve a consistent line out the door. Currently going through a remodel & I am sure it will be gorgeous when it is done.

Absolutely Excellent! Food was authentic, creatively seasoned , waiter suggested garlic naan on the side which was the best I ever had. Keep your spice level to “2” because it’s spicy but in a good way! Restaurant was very clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Loved everything except the ‘elevator music ‘-wish they had music from their culture. Overall very impressed!

Went there and it happened to be restaurant week. Ordered the prefixed menu. Got the food with medium spiciness. Everything was delicious and savory; highly recommend this place. Great service as well.

This was my first time trying Indian food, and it exceeded my expectations! I had the butter chicken (got spice level 1, could have gone up a level though). The spouse got the tandoori chicken, which was also delicious. We split a bread basket, which included 3 flavors of naan. Our entrees came with a large bowl of rice that they refilled for us once. Everything was delicious and portion sizes were great.
We had reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday night. Our table was ready for us on time, but service was a little slow (our server did warn us in advance when we ordered our appetizers). It took an hour and a half to get our entrees, but everything was so fresh that we quickly forgot about the wait time. We’ll definitely be back, but probably not at the busiest dinner hour on the weekend.

Food was excellent! I had the lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, soup of the day, and carrot pudding. If you like spicy go for level 5. I had 4 and it was pretty mild. Everything came out hot and flavorful. Service couldn’t be beat either. I never dropped below a half glass of water before they would refill it. And as for atmosphere, although under renovations, I was comfortable. The renovation work is hardly noticeable. Will definitely return.

Very nice atmosphere, but still very casual. We each got a lassi and since it was our first visit we got some of our go to items to try for appetizers, crispy samosa chat and aloo paratha. We also tried the cauliflower and ginger soup (the soup was the only item we didn’t love it wasn’t bad, just compared to everything else it wasn’t as flavorful). I tried the garlic paneer tikka masala and he had the Patiala Shahi Goat. We both enjoyed our choices. I also have to add I don’t usually eat any rice with my dishes because I’m generally not a fan but the rice they brought out was really good. I tried some just to say I tried it and ended up having several spoonfuls with my meal. We’ll definitely visit again. Service was on point and overall it was a great experience.

Its been a few weeks since I went to this place, but it was fantastic. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. They are doing renovations so it appears as though you shouldn’t go in, but you most certainly should. I am normally not a huge indian food fan, but I would absolutely come back again.

While on a business trip, I was craving some Indian food close to my hotel and stumbled upon Monsoon’s, located in a business section of Providence. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the upscale ambiance—it had a modern yet authentic Indian feel.
The service here is excellent. I noticed a team-based approach where multiple staff members refilled my iced tea and water without me ever needing to ask. They were attentive without being overbearing, which I really appreciated.
I started with the tandoori wings, and they were both visually impressive and flavorful—great way to kick off the meal! I also ordered garlic naan, and for the main course, I went with Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice). The dish had just the right amount of heat to it! The presentation was fairly standard, but I liked how they served the rice and chicken separately, letting me control how much masala sauce I used.
Overall, it was a delicious meal and a great experience. I’ll definitely be returning to Monsoon’s the next time I’m in town!
